Unique, wonderful decorating including chandeliers, restored floors and walls, cozy, great beds, rooms, staff, and a new restaurant, Maxxwell's, with really good food. The chandeliers in the restaurant are from the old hotel with some replicas and the original ceiling was refinished. We got a "kick" in the Rte 66 room and enjoyed the details, including the clock, the fireplaces, the wall art, and the melange of license plates and memorabilia, the wonderfully done bathrooms and toiletries. An absolute treat!
You would pass by it if you didn't know it was there as it is a historic bldg. from 1927. If you don't stay, just go in to view the lobby and maybe have a drink or a meal!More
