From the moment I checked in for a 3 night stay, I felt welcome. Stacey on the desk was warm, funny, informative and helpful. I needed to change my room, and this was done with minimal fuss and a smile. I was taken around to choose another room by the Manager - and that's the way a hotel should be run: hands on. Every facility - pool, fitness center, business center with printing facilities, free wifi in each room, on site restaurant, free beverages.
A particular help was the free shuttle, not only to the airport but to anywhere around town I wanted to go, and David was an ideal companion for this, patient and always smiling.
And I must particularly commend dear, sweet Dee in the restaurant, who served lunch, and breakfast one morning entirely on her own, with a smile, despite the impatience of some guests; and for whom nothing was too much trouble. She deserves her success at College.
I wonder whether the hotel would consider a fixed price serve-yourself buffet breakfast, which works well in many hotels - it would make it quicker for those in a hurry, and would be a lot easier on the staff.
The hotel is an easy walk to Cathedral Square and the wonderful art deco neighbourhood of downtown.
The only negative comment would be that corridors to the rooms could do with vacuuming.
