“Great Atmosphere Good Pizza Helpful Staff”
Reviewed June 18, 2009

I have been to Joe Momma's several times. They have some of the best food downtown and also one of the best atmosphere's. I have never been to a restaurant with a more helpful staff. If you have any problems, let the server know and somebody will take care of it for you.

“Great potential, but a big disappointment.”
Reviewed December 22, 2008

We saw Joe Momma’s while going to another restaurant in the area and decided to give it a try the following night. The restaurant had its grand opening about three weeks earlier according to the hostess at the door. This would put it opening at the end of November. The upbeat atmosphere and friendly staff is what first caught our attention when we walked past the previous night. The hostess greeted us promptly as we entered and informed us that we would be looking at a twenty minute wait. The wait was actually about forty-five minutes which we figured not too bad for a Saturday evening. Once we were seated our server greeted us and explained the concept of the restaurant and told us about their “specialty pizzas” and the “build your own”. The menu had nice selections along with a nice selection of beer with many additions planned for the future. Toward the back is a stage that will showcase local musicians and plenty of flat screen TVs located throughout the building tuned to sports. Our table was located at the front and had a great view of the open kitchen. The pizza oven is centrally located in the large kitchen. We ordered two large pizzas and a Guido’s Italian Club sandwich. The sandwich is usually served cold on flat bread but I requested that it be heated in the oven with our pizza. I was told that this would not be a problem and it was heated, but left sitting about twenty minutes on the counter while waiting on the pizza. In short, the sandwich with potato wedges and the pizza were all cold when they were finally served. One of the pizzas did not have the toppings as ordered. The manager came by and apologized and took care of our check except for the drinks. My family that lives in Tulsa said, “it will be a while before we try Joe Momma’s again”. The table next to us also experienced similar problems. There was a party already seated when we were shown our table and another party that arrived during our wait for our food. I am not sure what the problem was, but I have been to the same type of restaurants with about a third of the kitchen and wait staff that were running flawlessly!
