This immense building, which was designed by a woman at a time when it was almost unheard of, is stunning. Stretching, it seems, right up to the sky, it can be seen from all over Tulsa. The figures carved outside include the Wesley family - it's altogether beautifully done. Inside you will get a warm welcome from a volunteer and be free to wander around. The mosaics and stained glass are beautiful, and the Sanctuary massive and impressive. Ignore the advice on one of the websites which says you can go to a viewing area on 14th floor - you can't.

This 1920's church needs a guided tour to give you all the symbolism, which is repeated throughout the church. Dr. Adah Robinson, the Tulsa art professor who designed all the details in the 1920s, portrayed God's grace, Methodist leaders, Oklahoma wildflowers, and praying hands in the most unique way that you will ever see. Don't miss this famous church as you travel through Tulsa.

We get into the the church on Saturday AM. There is no thing going in the church. We walked around and take the pictures of the church.
The church is beautiful inside and outside. It must be nice to see the concert in there.

The Boston Avenue Methodist Church is a gem in the city of Tulsa, OK. The beautifully designed church integrates all aspects of art deco, from the details in the stained glass, to the steeples and the mosaics. We were treated to an organ recital when the organist was warming up for the Sunday service. It was a full sensory experience to sit in the sanctuary, enveloped in the beauty of sight and sound. Be sure to check out the reasons for the designs as illustrated on the office floor of the building through the photographs with explanations.
