“Amazing design”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

Art deco never looked so good. I'm not a church goer, but though the glass windows and intricate detail of patterns in the woodwork were wonderful expressions of the energy of the architect and all who worked on the project.

“Sublime art deco church”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

If you do only one thing in Tulsa, make it a visit to this church. Inside the skyscraper-like building you will find an amazing pink and lilac art deco interior with god in the details--light fixtures, stair rails, radiator covers and door muntins all intricately designed--what design consistency, what a budget the project must have had! Stained glass windows belong somewhere on the continuum between Louis Comfort Tiffany and Frank Lloyd Wright. We found the church sexton and asked if it would be OK to look around, and he took us to the sanctuary and turned on the lights in the amazing rotunda ceiling. You definitely want to see it with the lights on. The downtown office buildings in Tulsa are beautiful expressions of art deco Gothic revival, but this church takes the deco style to another level altogether. If you are going to look at any of Bruce Goff's other work in the area, it's essential to have this as a base of reference.

“My favorite church in Tulsa”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

Combine a delightful congregation with a traditional service, the best preacher in Oklahoma, and spectacular Art Deco architecture, and you get an idea why this church is so popular!

“An Architectural Landmark and a Great Place to Worship”
Reviewed January 11, 2013

This historic building is a must-see if you are a fan of unique architecture. Check out the Art-Deco praying hands all over the top of the building and the Terra Cotta figures of Methodist Circuit Riders. You should visit their web site for more information on the congregation and on the architecture and history of the building.

“Amazing Grace”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

If you are into Art Deco, or architecture, or churches...you need to get over to this beacon of Deco and study it's amazing lines. One of my favorites pictures I have taken in the last ten years...and I travel and photograph what I see a lot, is of this church. I stood up the street a bit so I could get the entire front and west side of the church in the picture. Then I spent about two hours in "photoshop" getting rid of the millions of power lines that surround this church. Absolutely amazing.
