“A Truly Unique Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2012

The Ouachita National Forest and the roads that run through it make it a popular destination when traveling through Southeastern Oklahoma, as does Oklahoma's Scenic Hwy 1 that runs from Talihina, Oklahoma to Mena, Arkansas. One block for the beginning of Hwy 1 in Talihina is an amazing little restaurant by the name of "Pam's Hateful Hussy Diner" that specializes in home cooking and good old American comfort food at very reasonable prices.
I've been regularly stopping in to Pam's for over 10 years and each time I find something on her walls that I've not seen before. They are covered in placques with sayings on them as well as indian and western art and artifacts which all make for a truly unique experience every time.
The food is always fresh, hot and tasty, the wait staff is always friendly and helpful, and Pam is always with customers or in the kitchen to make sure everything is just right.
It's popular among Boy Scouts, motorcycle riders and visitors of every kind, and with autumn, cool weather, and the leaves changing color on the mountain its a perfect place to visit the next time you're in this beautiful area that is also home to the Choctaw Indian Nation.

Ate breakfast here and it was good. The selection was also good. Enjoyed the decor and the full name too!

“Don't Miss The Opportunity to Eat Here!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2012

Known as "Pam's" to the locals, the sign outside reads "Pam's Hateful Hussy Diner" and it's a place you don't want to miss if you're in the area. We've been coming here regularly from Texas for more than 20 years and never miss the opportunity to eat at Pam's. The food is great, the prices are outrageously inexpensive, and the walls are packed with signs, placards and memorabillia -- that help pass the short amount of time you wait for your meal to be prepared and served.
Pam and her wait staff regularly see big crowds (church-goers, Boy Scout Troops, touring groups on motorcycles, etc.) and handle them with ease, so don't worry if you walk in on a busy afternoon or evening ... It will be worth the short wait.
I'm not going to go much further except to tell you eveything on the menu is excellent (my wife loves the Patty Melt, my grandson loves the chicken nuggets, and I love their chicken-fried steak) and to suggest you read the other reviews as well, as they are all spot-on!

“What a HOOT”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2011

this place really is a museum with lotsa western stuff that we were told is real authentic stuff, that is the walls kinda hold your attention so that you really did not notice how good or bad the food is. Well our experience was for breakfast and as good as it gets, eggs cooked just right, great biscuits, bacon big thick sliced, sausage patties or links very good, hash style potatos any way you like them, either soft or extra crispy, pancakes were ok. When we walked in at 800 am just two other tables had patrons by 820 the place nearly full about 22 tables, and there is lots of room between tables so U won't be bumping ea other trying to sit down. Its on the main street so at times parking may be half a block away, but heck thats nottin. We noted every kind ofuniquely dressed person come in. I think the sigh out front reads "Pams Pind Hussey" diner. Well what ever its good food.
