I have eaten there multiple times now for both Lunch and Dinner, and have had nothing but a great experience! If you don't want to be on a wait then don't go to a brand new nice restaurant during the most busy times of the day or evening and expect not to wait!!! Especially on a Friday or Saturday night if it is during the really busy dinner hours of about 6-8pm b/c most likely you will have to wait a while, but that is anywhere decent to eat in Stillwater! The great thing about this restaurant is that if you do have to wait for while you can go downstairs to their wine cellar and have a few drinks or even order appetizers and dessert. I have heard they sell pizza down there too. The cellar has a lot of different (comfortable) places to sit, like couches and lounge chairs.
The food and service is always really good! The lunch menu is a little different from the dinner menu with a big sandwich section and the dinner menu adds the more fancy cuisine such as steaks, salmon, and shrimp and grits! The portions are huge and the prices are beyond reasonable for the amount of food you get! I love the chicken and waffles! My server suggested it and I had never heard of that combination before and I loved it! I try to get new things every time I come in, and I haven't found anything I don't like yet. The servers I have had have also been good, and some of them are excellent! The restaurant is also family/kid friendly! I love the atmosphere and I think it is one of the nicer restaurants in Stillwater!
I honestly wasn't sure what to think because most of the reviews are split down the middle and people either love it or hate it! For all the haters out there that are being extremely negative, remember they haven't even been opened for 3 months yet!!! It takes time to work out the kinks of the little things that people keep complaining about! No matter how good a restaurant is there are always those few servers who may need some improvement, and of course there is going to be a long wait at 7:00 on a Saturday night!! It's Stillwater people we don't have a whole lot of nice places to choose from!! Also, the people who complain about the price or the fact that they don't get in and out of there sometimes in under an hour, well this isn't a fast food restaurant or buffet! It takes time for food to be cooked fresh, and to have a nice experience sitting down at a restaurant!
All in all I feel like Brooklyn's is really filling a unique niche in Stillwater that wasn't there before. I like how involved the managers are, they are constantly walking around and talking to the customers, and why does it matter if they help wipe down a table when everyone else is busy! That will shorten the amount of time it takes for you to be seated if they have a wait!
It is a brand new restaurant and fixing the little things like tweaking the menu, or even know which waiters maybe get a little too stressed out takes time, and I believe that Brooklyns will continue to get better and better!

Not real intimate. People on adjacent tables can her every word Sid at our table. Service was average at best. Took forever to pay in order to get out of the place. Food was horrible. Shrimp and grits were tasteless. BBQ chicken pizza tasted like it came of a box. Chilli's is better than his place.

This place writes a pretty tall bill for itself as soon as you step inside. High ceilings with taupe wallpaper and other swanky effects are immediately in order. The place really goes for that NY touch of class.

We had a long wait (30 mins) so we went down to the more hip and eclectic wine cellar where we received very good service.

When the time came to be seated we instantly knew our waiter was overwhelmed. She did a good job, but we didn't see her as often as we needed to because the floor was packed and she might have been overseated. Anyway, the bread is always good. The bruschetta we shared was really nice, had a good balance of balsamic. But then things took a turn for the fair to middlin'.

I got a salad before my meal with the champagne dressing which my server recommended. It tasted more lemony to me than anything else, and didn't have the sweetness of most vinaigrettes. It also came with shredded cheddar which I found incongruous with the vibe the restaurant had.

I got the baked mac and cheese which I found incredibly bland! I suspect this might be because I got it without the pepper-bacon, but the consistency was also somewhat soupy. My partner got the caprese pizza, which he said was "fine." I took a bite and it was unremarkable. There weren't any high basil notes like I expected. My mother got the chicken and mushroom ravioli which was really nice, but we couldn't figure out what the white sauce was that it was in. She suggested hollandaise and it did taste sort of like that. Last, my brother got the coffee-rubbed ribeye, which came with mashed potatoes and steamed young green beans. I tried these and they were all pretty good, especially the potatoes.

I saw a lot of people around me ordering the chicken with ricotta waffles, which I had thought about getting. I didn't see anyone finish it though! They also offer kids' meals. The desserts, which we didn't try, were not listed on the main menu. Odd.
