It was a Prime Weekend FootBall Rate ($89) so I expected a little better than what I got. The non-smoking room smelled of smoke. Rotten food in the fridge. Leftover in the microwave. Dirty Shower. Hairs in the sink. Bed Spread was greasy. Remote for tv missing. Slipper and clothes from last guest under the bed.
Nine electrical items in the room with tv,fridge, microwave, lights, alarm clock and such. Only FOUR outlets so you get to choose what to plug in.
The room (109) just needs a top to bottom cleaning. After getting a remote from the front desk, (very helpful and nice) I discovered again my pet peave about some hotels/motels - Please have a guide of tv channels. They were different than at other Stillwater Hotels. Maybe Eskimo Joe's would sponsor the idea and make a 1000+ for every hotel room in Stillwater.
Slept well and check in and check out was a breeze.
Where do I start?? Our room was booked through my son's basketball team. He travels and plays wheelchair basketball. The first room that we were given had a very narrow bathroom door that my son couldn't wheel his chair through. The young lady at the front desk was very nice and accommodating when we asked to be moved to an accessible room. The bathroom door was wider, the bathroom was huge, but the shower was situated so close to the toilet that it was almost impossible for him to transfer into the tub and the shower had no hand held shower, which is imperative when you can't stand up! There was a "ramp" to the outside door of our "accessible" room, but PLEASE take a look at the photo that I have included!! The ramp was just painted on! There was NOT really a ramp! We laughed so hard at this, but seriously, it could be a real danger to someone who didn't notice that the ramp wasn't REAL! Now, on to the things that are not specific to my situation with a disabled traveler! The toilet looked it had not been cleaned since the last people had stayed in the room. There were cigarette burns on the chair, carpets, and linens even though we were in a "nonsmoking" room. The shower didn't seem to be clean and the bathroom floor was sticky. There was not a lid on the toilet and the towel bar was directly above the toilet, so you had to move the towels so that they didn't get dropped into the toilet. The outside corridors between rooms looked as though as it hadn't been swept or mopped EVER! They did have a continental breakfast that was okay.
