We stayed two night at the Inn at Jarret Farm. a first class Bed and Breakfast. Our rooms was a suite with a sitting room with a gas fireplace. The bedroom had a king size bed and double jetted tub. The bathroom had double sinks with marble counters. Each room had a diffent theme. The room we stayed was Rosewood. The breakfast was served in the dining room and was very good. It was a three course meal that started with a juice course, then we were served a small bowl of fruit with granola and yogurt. The main entree was breakfast casserole and fruit. Of course Coffee and Tea was offered too. They have dinner Thursday through Saturday and a gorgeous brunch on Sunday. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We visited Bartlesville and toured the Frank Phillips Mansion and Woolaroc, his country estate 15 minutes to the west.
The next we shopped at antique store in Dewey and had a very nice lunch at Coffee Creek. Everything was homemade and tasty.

We stayed in the Burgundy room, the most expensive part of Jarrett Farm. The Inn's front door had cracked glass. Room carpet not vacuumed, one window curtain in the room was partially torn from hanger, room paint on base boards showing wear, some trash was seen behind one room end table near wall plug, small ice box freezer in the room was caked with ice and the room smelled of heavy potpourri. The room's large bed sort of sagged toward the middle. But what do you expect for an over $300 a night room with tax? When we checked out the cashier seemed to be aware of the need for Burgandy room maintenance.

Actually it wasn't as bad as I make it sound. The entire complex was almost empty of guests so it was very quiet. There was plenty of space in our room for quiet reading and relaxing. We opted for the $100 plus tax dinner adder which included some wine and cookies. The dinner and breakfast were very good except I didn't care for the dinner's mashed potato flavoring.

The staff were all young adults. The dinner and breakfast service was unhurried and cheerful. The restaurant area was mostly empty both at dinner and at breakfast.

We walked the trail behide the cottages. Our return path was totally blocked by an angus cow. Fortunately the cow retreated. We later learned that Jarrett Farm doesn't allow cows on their property so this cow was an intruder.

As we left the property to return to Tulsa on Highway 75 we saw a large Jarrett Farm for sale sign. The sale sign said that the property was being sold due to the Jarrett Farm owner "retiring." As I remember the Jarrett Farm owner I met several years ago was a young business man. I suspect that because of the owner's "retirement" that all significant maintenance on the property is now being deferred.

My husband and I spent our 16th anniversary being pampered and fussed over and over-fed at this diamond of a bed and breakfast in northeastern Oklahoma. Just 30 minutes north of Tulsa on Hwy 75 lies this gem of an inn. The property is elevated and each cottage situated to cater to spectacular views of distant city lights, stars and sunrise/set. It is hard to decide which was our favorite between the upscale food, the in-room jacuzzi or the outstanding service we received. We can't wait to go back for another wonderful weekend with these lovely hosts.
