You can read my other reviews where I always seem to equivocate on one thing or another. Not this time. So far i have been here only a half dozen times or so, but am completely convinced thsi is a weekly need.

This is a 30 minute drive for me (about $7 in gas round trip) but I can't stay away, and I can't order anything besides the liver and onions with dark gravy on the side. I really want to order something else, because I listen to the people at the other tables rave over their meals... Lots of them love the hamburgers. I love a good hamburger too, but I'm serious I just can't keep from ordering the liver and onions.

In my 60 years I've had a lot of liver and onions, but this is beyond anything I have ever had before. Simply amazing!

With salad, dinner roll, mashed potatoes, a huge portion of perfect liver and onions, a drink and *generous* tip $11

This is the oldest cafe in Oklahoma. It is old style, and you will love it. Nothing fake here. Lots of photos on the wall - including one of Officer Hanger "Town Hero" who arrested Steve McVeigh on the outskirts of town. Lots of old permits etc older than me. Interesting.

We stopped in Perry, OK to have our car fixed(big shout out to Sam's Auto Repair. Great service)

Went to the Kumback for lunch, traditional diner that dates to the 30's (Pretty Boy Floyd ate there)

The exterior and interior are straight out of the 30's with photos on the wall wood floors and booths. Old school fare, everything made there from hamburgers to sky high merainge pies. We had barbeque, which was great halfway between Texas and KC style and hamburger which had a fresh made there taste.
However, I can't say much for the service, it was quick enough but the waitress was pretty surly and it wasn't even that crowded.
It's a great place to stop and eat, just don't expect great service.
