“Clean, big rooms and it's pet friendly!”
Reviewed May 26, 2011

Needed a pet friendly hotel outside the city and this was great. Only downside is they charge a $50 pet fee but don't have a weight restriction. Updated and clean, the room was large with a sitting area separate from the bedroom. Loved the made to order omelettes (with real eggs) - part of the complimentary breakfast. Only stayed 1 night during a roadtrip. The area when you get off 40 is not that great but when you drive further down, the area gets better and felt safer. We needed a safe place to park since we had a lot of stuff in our car. Parking was free also and staff was friendly. Ordered room service- chicken ceaser salad, quesadilla and fruit and chz plate. Everything arrived hot and it good. Bed was super comfortable. Overall, a great hotel and stay.

Overall, I was very impressed with the Embassy Suites in Oklahoma City. I decided on this hotel from a recommendation from a co-worker and I am very glad that I did!

When we arrived at the hotel, we were promptly checked in and the man working the front desk was very friendly and nice. As soon as we walked into our room, we noticed a very strong smell of smoke (even though this room was supposed to be non-smoking). We called the front desk to explain our dilemma and an employee was immediately sent up to us to give us a new room. The second room was much better and smelled very clean. The room was large with a good layout. It very nice to have the separate "living" area that could be closed off from the bathroom/bedroom. The bed was extremely comfortable! There are two thermostats, one for the bedroom area and one for the living area. The temperature stayed very consistent and comfortable. The kitchenette area is small, but does come with a fridge and a microwave.

The breakfast was excellent with many choices, both hot and cold. They had made-to-order omelets (which I did not try, but looked very good). On the hot breakfast buffet, they had eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, french toast, pancakes, oatmeal etc. The cold breakfast buffet was your typical continental breakfast including several different kinds of cereal, fruit, bread/toast, bagels, donuts, yogurt, etc. We really enjoyed having breakfast offered to us every morning in our hotel! On the weekend mornings, I would recommend going to breakfast early because it gets very busy with families later in the morning (around 9:30-10:00am).

The manager's reception in the evenings was very nice. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. The mixed drinks were made well. I am not a fan of beer, but they only had one kind (Shiner), so that might be a bit of a disappointment to some.

It was about a 15-minute drive to go anywhere that we wanted to go (Bricktown, the science museum, the zoo, etc), so I wish that we would have been a bit closer to attractions. There were numerous restaurants around the hotel that would have been easy to walk to. We did not get the chance to try out any of the restaurants because we already had other dinner plans, but it would be nice to have the variety right around the hotel, if it were needed.

The fitness area and the pool/hot tub/sauna areas were well kept and nice.

First the bad. Take everything out of you car. They have lots of break ins here. Now the good. Comfy bed. Great free breakfast and happy hour. Great work out facility. Did not get a chance to try the pool but it looked good. Friendly people. Nice room.

Outdated, unclean, bad food, poor morning reception. There are too many newer hotels in the same area, making this one not worth it. Very noisy--walls are extremely thin!

This is an older hotel but is nice. All the rooms are suites and the hotel is quiet. There is a game room, a pool, sauna, hot tub and exercise room. My favorite part of our stay was the awesome breakfast in the morning. They have a huge variety of breakfast items. You can customize and have an omelet made while you wait from fresh ingredients.

The manager's reception was great. They serve free cocktails from 5:30 to 7 pm. If that were not enough they also have a very nice lounge in the hotel. The hotel is older but is very beautiful, clean and quiet. They also have a wonderful staff. I would definitely stay here again.

We were traveling with our dog. The hotel charges a $50 pet fee, and we were given a dark room next to a whining generator. The desk was nice about moving us when we complained but our new room had been poorly cleaned. There'd was a Bic lighter on the floor of our bathroom, and a small pile of hair and dust behind the bathroom door next to the sink. Ugh. Staff was friendly but overall, an unpleasant experience.

This Embassy has the nice breakfast and reception and a well managed staff, things are clean - all of that.
The hotel itself is in need of a facelift - needs new carpet, some maintenence, etc.
