Every year, my husband and I visit Oklahoma City to attend an event at the Chesapeake Arena. This year, when I tried to make reservations at the hotel we always stay at they were completely booked. At first, I was heartbroken that we would not be continuing our yearly tradition; now, I am so happy they were, otherwise, we wouldn’t have discovered The Colcord Hotel.
The Colcord is hands down one of the nicest, friendliest, quietest hotels we have ever stayed at. Arlene checked us in without any delay. She was funny, helpful, and seemed to love her job. We had booked a corner king, which was huge. The bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up the next morning. The best part is we never heard anything from the hallway or adjoining room; I didn’t know a hotel could be so quiet. Even the restaurant, Flint, was amazing. The complementary tea or coffee service the next morning was the icing on the cake. When we checked out, my husband shocked me by saying he wished we had spent two nights instead of one; he never wants to be away from home longer than necessary.
From now on, The Colcord Hotel will be our Oklahoma City destination.

Every luxury of the time was incorporated in the construction, many of which remain today: The original marble still adorns the columns and walls of the main lobby; the original nickel and bronze letterbox and elevator doors still shine; and the original ornamental plaster ceiling still crowns the space. Though the building's trademark elegance and historic architectural elements have been preserved, the revamped Colcord now has an updated style and is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies that suit the needs of our guests. ... more less
