Love the atmosphere and the food. Sit outside and watch the water taxi go by. The catfish is wonderful.

My husband and I went to Jazmoz as we were passing through Oklahoma City on our way to Texas. We had the Bourbon Street Special - a steak and shrimp combo. It was very tasty, even though the steak was cooked a little more than medium rare as we had asked. The bacon wrapped shrimp were delicious. We also added on a side of mac n cheese, which was absolutely delicious. Although we enjoyed the food, the price seemed to be a little overpriced, but overall it was a good meal.

This was our second visit in two years passing through OKC. It is only a few minutes off the freeway in the Bricktown area. We were seated in a large room, right next to a table of 12. There were no other diners in this room. We were visiting and catching up. After an hour of visiting and no service from our waiter, not even a glass of water, we asked the front desk to help. The waiter said he didn't see us and then changed it to he didn't know we were his table. What? There are only two tables in the same room, right next to each other and he didn't see us? He didn't even wonder? Geez. The food was good, hot, decently priced. Our visit in 2011 had good service, so perhaps this was an anomaly.

Our dinner here for nine of us the other night had it's good points and not so good points. For appetizers, we ordered shrimp cocktail and the calamari. Both were good but not exceptional. The salmon steaks, tilapia, and other main dishes were all quite tasty and cooked as ordered. They pretty much all came with dirty rice and asparagus. The rice was good, tender but nothing out of the ordinary. We all agreed that the asparagus was terrible, being very tough. The waitstaff was pleasant and helpful. The lobby is very well decorated with framed photos, etc. from the jazz era. The dining room where were were seated was just so-so. Would we eat there again? Maybe, but we'd try other restaurants in the area first.

Service was below average. My food was a Huge rip-off and poorly prepared. I had a trio that had lobster and two different types of shrimp. On shrimp was over cooked and the stuffed was borderline raw. At least the lobster was cooked properly. My wife had oyster and said they were great. But assuming they are fresh its hard to screw up raw oysters. The other couple We were with said there food was so/so. So for the prices they charge for what you get. I dont see the value. IM not above paying up for good food. But it better be good. This was average at best. Ambiance is ok. Advertised a band. But the guy and his guitar stoped playing at 9 on a sat night. Lots of places to eat in the area so if I return I will not be returning.
