“Mmmmmm.... steak”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2013

Now this is the place to go for a steak in Oklahoma City. Smack in the middle of the stockyard area of Oklahoma City and over flowing with history (how many restaurants do you know that changed hands in a high stakes dice game?) the food is also great. These are excellent steaks made and cut by people who know their business. Well worth the time and money to come down and enjoy them.

“Overrated!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

It was nice, the food was mediocre and overpriced. I had heard a lot of people talk about how good it was so I went and was not that impressed.

“great steaks”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2013

The steaks are great and the service good. The history of the building and the business ADDS to the CHARM. The location in the old STOCKYARDS is an additional plus.

“Historical Cowtown”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2013

This "cafe" has one of the richest histories in america. The way it changed owners can't be beat. Good steaks but not the best in town. Prices are reasonable but one can "make" the Cattleman just once and be happy.

“OKay but average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2013

A lot of hype caused us to visit this restaurant as we passed through Oklahoma City. It is located in an old historic part of town which is interesting and lined with shops. The restaurant has an interesting history and we respect it for that. However, the food is pretty average. We had a Top Club and a Small Filet steak with a side of Peppercorn sauce. The sauce tasted like a mix and the steaks were okay but a little overdone. They weren't top of the line as we had hoped. They each cost $20.50. The baked potato was average size served with butter and sour cream. The salad was average with a very thick "house" dressing similar to ranch. The Double Deuce beers were large, 22oz, and were an average tasting wheat beer. Too bad they don't serve any draft beer. Service was good, fast and polite. Overall, we had the experience and feel no need to return.
