And best of all, you can ride the train! Trains operate first and third Saturdays - April to August. We're just minutes from the Interstate, so come join in the fun at the Oklahoma Railway Museum. Our museum is open every Thursday, Friday, & Saturday 9:00 to 5:00. Admission to the museum is free.

One of my long term acquaitances, Bob Hussey Inc, a railroad contractor, started this museum up . it is fantastic, my grandson's birthday party was in a railroad car. We also went for a train ride, and he loved it as well. There are also stations and all types of locomotives. A must see

We love trains so that the museum would be great. However, there are cars sitting there and you can look in the doors but cannot go inside. The only thing we saw was one car with a model train set up inside. The two people in there were so busy on the computer they never acknowledged we were there. Very disappointed. The Internet makes it sound like a great place. IT IS NOT....

This Museum has grown over the years and is run by Volunteers! If you love anything about Trains-go! On 3rd Saturday of each month, you can catch a Train Ride. Free....I think. Just off N.E. 36th across from Oklahoma Military Dept.

My daughter so excited to be riding the train. Barely had we left the station though and it became obvious that the engineer was having trouble. We broke down somewhere in the middle of nowhere, had to wait for another engine, and went back. There was no offer of a refund or a do-over. The museum and the kids' play area was ok ... not particularly exciting.

We attended the Day Out With Thomas the Train, but did not go into the museum. I feel the Day Out With Thomas was misrepresented on the website. The main attraction is the train ride, which was a disappointment and definitely overpriced. Thomas looks nice, but the other train cars are like riding in very old school buses - no heat, no decor. The ride itself consists of backing up along the track for 15 minutes, then stopping and going forward for 15 minutes back to the depot. The ride takes that long because you only go about 5mph. This would be fine if the scenery were nice, but all you see is an industrial area composed of warehouses and chain link fences followed by housing projects on either side. It was very deflating for our kids and for us. The photo on the website shows Thomas chugging through a green field...this is a misrepresentation.

The volunteers who ran the event were extremely kind, but the train ride itself was poor.
