“Great hotel and a great value”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

The hotel was well maintained, clean and the staff was friendly. My room was comfortable and large, and the external noise was minimal. It's pretty easy to get to, and has lots of dining choices nearby. (I definitely recommend Zorba's just up May Rd.) The breakfast bag they give you is really nice as well - a snack you can take with you on top of the breakfast they serve at the hotel. Parking is adequate, and the neighborhood seems safe.

This Hampton Inn is not your typical Hampton Inn. The towering positive characteristic is cleanliness. The rooms and common areas were all exceptionally clean. The room itself was much nicer than I expected, everything was in tip top condition. The bathroom was large and had a nice size counter. The room included a refrigerater, microwave, coffee pot, hair dryer and a nice size flat screen. There was also a nice work area. The complimentary breakfast was way above average with two attendents that kept everything full and tidy. The location was several blocks from the interstate and not far from a nice mall. There were a number of restaurants nearby but you would need transportation to get to most of them. I highly recommend this hotel and definately would stay here again if I visited OKC.

Room Tip: Opt for a room on the back of the building away from a somewhat busy road.

We stayed for one night while attending a wedding in the Paseo district. It was an easy drive to/from the venue without the higher pricing of the Bricktown area. Clean rooms, friendly staff. We'll stay here again if we have a need for a hotel in OKC.

100% customer satisfaction is a joke! Glass on sidewalk by pool from hail storm that had occurred a month earlier. When I called manager to say we weren't happy with the stay she lied about what my daughter told the front desk. I will never stay at a Hampton Inn again, anywhere. I wouldn't recommend it to my enemies especially the on on NW Expressway in OKC.

, Manager at Hampton Inn Oklahoma City-Northwest, responded to this review, July 11, 2012
ID Theft and Credit Card misuse are taken very seriously at our hotel. It is our responsibility to protect our guests secure information. Our hotel, as do most hotels, require an I.D. to check in. This guest was checking in on someone else's credit card and was asked routinely for an I.D. She indicated that she did not have an I.D. and became rude to the front desk personnel when she wasn't allowed to check in. She later produced a student I.D. and was checked into the hotel where she stayed for 2 days.

We've stayed here several times. The street leading to the entrance is kind of confusing and our GPS has a hard time finding the inn. Very nice staff from the front desk, maid service, and breakfast servers. Each time we've stayed here there have been a lot of teenagers on traveling sports teams. They tend to be loud and can monopolize breakfast, but the staff keeps the food coming and the noise subsided around 11pm. Our son attends Oklahoma City University and plan to stay here each time we visit him. The inn is close to Penn Square Mall and Cheesecake Factory! :)

Just back from a business trip to Oklahoma City. We chose this hotel because of its location to the facilities we would be visiting and the low price. It's right off of May Avenue where a lot of restaurants are located ( a quick $5-$10 cab ride). It's across a busy street from a large Target. There is a Dave and Busters located within walking distance and possibly a Walgreens within walking distance, but that's about it. No nightlife around. The hotel does not have a bar.
What the hotel DOES have are quiet, clean, well decorated rooms that are very sizeable. The bathroom also is very large and comfortable. The room comes with a large dorm refrigerator. Of course duvets are changed and are fresh and new for every guest -- very nice policy of Hampton Inn. The breakfast is wide and varied, you'll definitely find something to eat here. They also have "to-go" breakfast bags with a sample of some muffins or fruit or whatever if you're in a hurry. Coffee is available 24/7. There is a small sundries shop with drinks, candies, chips, crackers, ice cream etc. Prices at the shop are reasonable. There is a nice business center with 2 computers and 2 printers. The gym is nice with 2 treadmills with tvs, an elliptical and a bike plus free weights. Towels are provided. But what is missing in the gym are anti-microbial wipes to wipe down the machines after use. People should use the towels but don't. I didn't check out the pool. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again due to the price, cleanliness and large room size.

Room Tip: Stay away from the ice machines which are loud. Also rooms on the first floor are in the middle of...

The front desk service at this location made the biggest difference during my recent stay. They provided me help when I needed and didn't dodge my complaint.

To be candid, my room was not up to Hampton Inn standards. And I told them that and they took care of the situation. They never dodged it or made the situation my fault,

Ok - I am not Goldilocks about hotel rooms. This situation was unique. And I would stay here again because of the service
