“Cant beat the hospitality, weekday meals and price!!”
Reviewed September 6, 2012 via mobile

Our family of six stayed from a Mon thru wed in a two bedroom two bath apt. It was clean and worth the money. Best part was the pool by the main eating area. Food was great. Wide variety of buffet style food included in the cost for breakfast and dinner when you stay during the weekdays. Fitness center was huge and old school but better than most hotels tiny facilities. The lake was refreshing. We were given a large plate of chocolate chip cookies our first nights stay. Talk about a nice surprise for the kids!! Very nice setup for budget conscious families.

My husband and I enjoyed our overnight stay in this clean, practical 2 bedroom apartment. While there was nothing luxurious about the unit, the full sized fridge and in-apartment washer and dryer were a welcome feature on our long road trip.

We didn't have time to stay for breakfast or dinner but we visited the dining room and enjoyed a complimentary ice cream cone. What a treat! The price was very reasonable and the staff was helpful and friendly. We'll certainly be back for a longer stay next time we're in Oklahoma.

The neighborhood was not at all scary to me. The 2BR unit we stayed in was very clean. It had 3 TVs and a full kitchen. The decor was plain but everything seemed to be in good repair. We ate the free brunch and found it to be filling if not fancy. I definitely don't agree with advertising Isola Bella as a resort destination but it is a nice enough place with clean swimming pools and grounds. They also offer catch and release fishing in the small lake and have a couple of courtesy cars for guests' use. We are planning to return to Isola Bella next month for the Oklahoma state fair.

Room Tip: They have pet friendly as well as rooms that no pets have ever been allowed in. Request a pet free r...

I'm still trying to figure this place out. The rooms were really nice and clean. Basically they are apartments.
I worked out at the gym, which was really big and nice.
From what I could gather, this place has various people who live there full time. Everything from students to elderly needing nursing care and people like from the VA getting government assistance.
The staff was great...really nice and helpful. I just didn't feel terribly safe at night. I actually put the sofa in front of the door at night.
It's not that the people there are scary, it's just that from the outside it looks like the projects on a river.
That being said, if you are on a budget it's worth it as long as you aren't worried about the neighborhood. I'd stay there again, but most likely I'd bring my gun for peace of mind (I have a concealed license).

Due to my husband's job, our family has spent every August (3+ weeks) in Oklahoma City for the past 5 years. We normally stay at a different apartment complex but it has gone downhill. We decided to give Isola Bella a try. (I am there now) I was concerned after reading some of the reviews. I would like to address some of them.
Location: The neighborhood is decent. It is still on the N.W side (better part of town). Homes in the area are modest and typical of the region. Don't worry about walking into a "bad" neighborhood.
Staff: All my interactions were positive. Front desk, maintenance were all willing to do whatever needed to make us feel at home.
Apartment: We had a 2 bedroom apartment. It was well stocked, clean (rugs could have used a shampoo), it has it's own washer/dryer, 3 t.vs, dvd players, 2bathes etc. Yes it is not "decorated" and walls are white but it has a lot of people moving in and out. It is a simple furnaced apartment. Some previous review mentioned bedbugs. First thing I sid was check. NONE. In fact, mattresses are wrapped in protective plastic covers.
Lots of pools (6 I think) all clean and well maintained. I saw staff checking the water! LARGE workout center, dog park, playground, pond, etc.
They provide hot breakfast and dinner daily . The food is a step above cafeteria food. So in my mind, it is definitely doable. The food is well stocked and the young man managing the buffet hustles to prevent food from running out and area clean.
Additionally, they rented out a second car togets us for only $1 day. This allowed the kids and I to have more freedom during the work day.I highly recommend Isola Bellla.

Do not be misled by the pictures on the website. Our family recently stayed at this property and were highly disappointed. Traveling at least 3x per month for business and several times per year for vacations, I would rate this a three star at best if you were to compare it to hotel properties. A few observations: garbage throughout the grounds with overflowing trash cans; the outside of the buildings need maintenance - chipped paint, concrete missing, missing bricks; inside of our unit we felt like we were in a low rent apartment - tub had obvious wear and tear with ring marks on it and was chipped, kitchen cabinets were old and worn. The beds were horrible. Hard as a rock with plastic over the matresses.

We were close to one of the smaller pools but we could not take our children there as there was a beer party going on. We went to the large pool which was a nice size. Again though, there was a problem with garbage.

The neighborhood is not the place to be for family travel. Low-rent neighborhood and not close to any restaurants. The only highlight was the young lady at the pool desk. She was very professional and nice.

Room Tip: Don't stay here.

I bought this one night stay on a Living Social deal and felt
very mislead. It was advertised as a resort and was actually a lower class apartment complex. Although the staff was very nice and professional, and the room appeared to have been redone and was clean, our family felt very uncomfortable about staying there. The shower was a strange set up and we were afraid water would leak all over the bathroom. We didn't eat there or use any of the amenities, just slept one night and the beds were not very comfortable. If you just need an inexpensive place to stay, it is probably a good deal, but we weren't comfortable there and won't be back.
