Recommended length of visit: 1-2 hours
Owner description: The Myriad Botanical Gardens is one of Oklahoma City’s most beloved public spaces, offering its visitors a 15 acre natural escape in the very heart of the metro known as downtown Oklahoma City. A children’s garden, an off-leash dog park, the Park House restaurant, “splash fountains,” as well as paths for walking and jogging provide guests young and old with a place in which to find solitude with nature or seek community and the company of others. The Myriad Gardens provides an elegant backdrop for events both large and small, ranging from concerts at the Bandshell to intimate weddings in the Crystal Bridge Conservatory. Additionally, the Myriad Gardens offers a variety of horticultural education programs for adults and children. Classes range from story reading, making chocolate, wreath-making workshops to the annual Oklahoma Gardening School and more. Thanks to a multi-million dollar renovation partially funded by the city, as well as a general revitalized interest in a vibrant downtown, the Gardens quickly is becoming an integral symbol of the new Oklahoma City and those who call it home.

“A Must See”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2014

If it's been a while since you've been in the gardens, you owe it to yourself to go. Totally revamped, this venue is spectacular. it is a great place for an afternoon walk, morning meditation, family outings, children's water adventure, reading a book, jogging and more. Multiple water features, designed by world renowned architects, beautiful plants and flowers maturing now to full beauty, a lake and small amphitheater, ice skating ring in winter converted to children's wading pool in the summer and so much more make this park a wonderful attraction. Descriptions do not do it justice. Spend an afternoon there with the family. It will become one of your favorite places in OKC.

“Beautiful place for family with children!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2014

We visited on the 4th of July with our 5 and 2 year-old sons. They had so much fun looking at all of the beautiful sights. They adored the Children's play area and wanted to stay there for hours. However, their favorite part was the 2 FREE splash pads located in 2 different areas of the gardens. They had so much fun playing and splashing around the in the water. We spent over half a day there just walking around, relaxing and letting the kids play. As an added bonus, you can grab a Nic's Famous Burger or other delicious food at the Ice House. It was an awesome day for all of us! We cannot wait to go back.

“Thunder play fountain a hit!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2014

We love the children's garden and the thunder fountain for kids. Getting wet is always a winner in the summer time. The fountain is fixed and getting lots of use! met with a group of friends to let our kids play while we visited. Children's garden is a great place to show my son how the beautiful raised garden beds have veggies - he just likes to climb the tower! We enjoyed the local astronomy club night with telescopes to view the night sky. WAY COOL!

“Must-See for OKC Visitors!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2014

Gorgeous views and great location. Located right beside the Devon Tower, providing for a gorgeous view at night when the tower is lit up. Numerous family-friendly events occur here, including outdoor movie nights on the lawn and yoga overlooking the gardens. Great place to take family with multiple restaurant options close by.

“Breathtaking”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2014

Its pretty cool to see all the exotic plants living in OKC that aren't native.
It takes about 30 min to walk around the gardens, depending how busy it is. Its a self guided tour and the map you're given when you pay gives you some information of whats planted and animals living there. They currently have 2 parrots. It is really hot and humid in there and depending on when you go its a good or bad thing. Once you're done inside you can walk around the outside too.
