Recommended length of visit: 1-2 hours
Owner description: The Myriad Botanical Gardens is one of Oklahoma City’s most beloved public spaces, offering its visitors a 15 acre natural escape in the very heart of the metro known as downtown Oklahoma City. A children’s garden, an off-leash dog park, the Park House restaurant, “splash fountains,” as well as paths for walking and jogging provide guests young and old with a place in which to find solitude with nature or seek community and the company of others. The Myriad Gardens provides an elegant backdrop for events both large and small, ranging from concerts at the Bandshell to intimate weddings in the Crystal Bridge Conservatory. Additionally, the Myriad Gardens offers a variety of horticultural education programs for adults and children. Classes range from story reading, making chocolate, wreath-making workshops to the annual Oklahoma Gardening School and more. Thanks to a multi-million dollar renovation partially funded by the city, as well as a general revitalized interest in a vibrant downtown, the Gardens quickly is becoming an integral symbol of the new Oklahoma City and those who call it home.

“Excellent garden - spend an afternoon”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

Even if you are not a big plant enthusiast, you will probably want to spend an hour wandering through the lush tropical garden of the indoor conservatory. If you love plants, maybe set aside 2-3 hours so you can really take it all in and relax in this beautiful oasis.

“Beautiful!”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

We love going to the Myriad. It is beautiful, well planned and peaceful. A recent renovation was much needed and has really improved the space. Nit is a bit pricey, but well worth it at least once.

Fun date night. During the summer there is a free spray ground for kids, plus free story/craft time - check online for dates.

“It was hot”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

I like the beautiful plants, the wide variety of scenary, the explanations underneath the plant label... the fans at the top.. without the fans I think I might have had a heatstroke... jk, I am overreacting, but I am thankful for the fans. It's hot and humid, perhaps it would be a good idea to go at night, or in the early morning. You have to pay for parking too.

“Small but Beautiful”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

The Myriad Gardens have undergone changes over the years, and the current incarnation is quite beautiful. For a small fee ($7 for adults) you can walk through the botanical gardens. There is an assortment of plants and flowers - there are even butterflies.
It is not very large and you can walk through it in a short time, but for a lunch break or on a weekend, and particularly when it is cold outside, it is a very pleasant diversion.
