“Dinosaurs and more”
Reviewed May 20, 2014

This museum was worth a visit just to see the dinosaurs in the Hall of Ancient Life and to ride on the dinovators. That being said, the other exhibits ended up being great as well. This is a nice small and inexpensive museum to visit if you are in the area.

“an excellent small natural history museum”
Reviewed May 7, 2014

I spent about two hours inside the museum, which is located on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. On the day I visited, the museum was full of loud kids on a school trip, but I had very little problems with them. I really enjoyed the evolution of life galleries, as well as the other exhibits on hand. If you are in Norman for business, this museum is a welcome break from the normal grind.

“Wow! The dinosaurs!”
Reviewed April 24, 2014

This was a great museum with really cool displays! The most impressive was the dinosaur exhibit - it contains the world's largest skull of a land animal and the world's largest Apatosaurus. A "dino-vator" allows you to take a short ride up to look eye to eye with this absolutely enormous dino skeleton!

“Visit here!”
Reviewed April 16, 2014 via mobile

I love this place. I live nearby and go all the time. Extremely inexpensive for a museum and a great collection. The ancient life gallery is by far everyone's and my favorite. Full sized skeletons, world record sized skulls, and lots of other fun dinosaur type things. The staff has always been super nice to me and the volunteers in the galleries are typically previous professors or worked in the museum collections department to begin with.

MUST DO: ride the 'dinovators' up and down, take pictures with the giant bronze mammoth, and visit the temporary gallery (it is almost always interesting).

Our child loves this place - the dinosaurs, the children's play area, the giant wooly mammoth, all of it!
