Kids love this museum. There is a traveling exhibit space that is usually filled with a interesting exhibit. The big hit with my kids is always the bones, and replica animals that are on exhibit. The children's room get extremely busy with limited entry, so you will need to do that first thing.

I was with another adult and we spent about 2 hours here, not counting the time in the snack bar. It seems well thought out, but not labeled very well. Very nice, large vignettes of different periods of time throughout Earth's development. That part seemed more for children and there were lots of them about who were having a great time. Upstairs was a more well developed exhibit of early Indian life, tools and baskets. I really enjoyed that part, especially the docent who was explaining to a group of children how native American peoples lived and made the tools and utensils they needed from the animals and found objects from nature. Also on the second floor was a fascinating exhibit of insect and spider photography. Breathtaking! Although I'm not a big fan of spiders, the artist was infectious with his passion for the subject. I'm so glad we went!
