If you are looking for a inexpensive place that is clean to stay for a couple of days, this might be the place for you. It is easy to get to on and off I-35 and is close to many good restaurants.

Still, this motel is definately showing it's age and is in need of some repairs and maintenance. The room that we had had loose molding around the front door, the bathroom door was scratched up from a previous occoupant and their dog, and the toiiet had a mind of it's own when it came to flushing - sometimes everything would go down quite nicely, sometimes everything just set there and swirled around and that was it.

Overall the motel was ok and worked out alright as we spent litle time in the room except to sleep. If you are traveling on a budget this place will work. If you are looking for nicer, look a little further.

-I would not recommend this hotel to anyone in a wheelchair or traveling with someone in a wheelchair. To get into the breakfast area/office my wheelchair-riding mother had some sharp turns to make and two doors to get through.
-She couldn't even get to her room by the normal walkway because a coke machine was in the way. She had to go down half the length of the entire building to get to the only ramp which would enable her to get to her room.

I read many of the reviews on this site before I got the hotel and was scared of what I would arrive to. I was pleasantly surprised! It even looked better than the pictures I saw online. The was a fridge and microwave, free wi fi, love seat with coffee table and a desk! It's right next to a wal mart but in a different parking lot so you don't have to worry about the wal mart traffic but it's easy to get what you need. There's also a Golden Corral buffet close for good food! I found all the staff to be pleasant too! I would stay here again any time :)

Basic road side motel. Good location in the middle of Norman, next to a Walmart. Difficult to access off I-35 unless you are familiar with the area, especially at night. Rooms were plenty big enough and appeared clean (by 1-star standards). AC worked and noise level was ok. Staff was invisible or unfriendly. Breakfast was a donut, juice machine, and BAD coffee. Don't bother with the breakfast. When I arrived at 11pm at night the parking lot was maybe a quarter full, or less. I had a coupon for a night with one person. The clerk said no more single, non-smoking rooms left, even though the place isn't even a quarter occupied. So he wasn't going to honor the coupon. Unfriendly and much too expensive. There are 4 other road side motels on the same side of the road within a mile. The second night I moved down the street to Days Inn (quarter mile away). Still basic road side motel, but friendler staff, real breakfast in the morning, and much, much cheaper. Also, Travellodge lists a pool as an amenity. Very small, bad location, drained empty, and unusable.

Considering better competition around them and the bad gouging prices, I'd recommend you stay somewhere else.

the people who "helped" checking me in were so rude and because i couldn't understand the woman, due to her heavy accent, she began to practically yell at me and became sarcastic. there was no way i would stay in such an unfriendly and dirty hotel. i would rather pay to NOT stay a night there!

This was the single most awful hotel stay I've ever had. The customer service was non-existent. The employees and manager were rude and inconsiderate. The attitude was more like we were troubling them for being there. The manager was consistently asking us to leave even though we asked for and was granted a later check out time. The person at the front desk also charged us the wrong amount for the additional time we stayed. They failed to be hospitable and were discriminatory based on our age. An example of this was one woman who refused to let one of our guests into the office area when he asked for extra towels because she was "scared" and he was a young man, even though he was not confrontational or threatening in any manner. The accommodations were mediocre at best and not worth the price. The room was not ready upon arrival, the lamps were not plugged in, the plug-ins were falling off the walls and the door did not close appropriately.Their rudeness and inability to uphold the basic premise of hotel hospitality and customer service was simply offensive.

The rooms are falling apart. Wallpaper is coming off the walls. Wood trim looks like its been there a 100 years. Air conditioners are so noisy you can't sleep. When I was in the room, my impression was "this is disgusting" and I just wanted out. Which is what I did the next morning.

During the night when I got up to go to the bathroom there were little black bugs all over the floor!! When I told management, they just sluffed it off as if it were no big deal. Didn't even say they would do something about it. I don't do bugs and I don't stay where there are bugs.

They are supposed to offer free wireless internet but it only works intermittently or not at all.

Also, don't walk in the hotel with your socks off or in your socks or your feet or socks will be black. The carpet looks clean but obviously is not since my feet and socks turned black!!

I moved to Fairfield Inn across the freeway and paid more but boy is it worth it!!! If you are looking for a nice room, make another choice and don't pick Norman Travelodge.
