“Nice, convenient motel”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2012

We stay at this motel two or three times a year as we have a son that goes to college nearby. This motel has just recently undergone a renovation and has updated carpet, bedding and televisions. We don't usually ask for a suite room but usually get one which has a fridge and microwave along with a sofa bed. The price for the room is usually very reasonable and with the great breakfast that is included makes this motel a real bargain for us.

Room Tip: First floor is better as there is only one elevator and it is a little slow.

Clean, new carpets, all but one helpful, friendly staff; automatic doors; quiet especially since the hotel sits next to interstate 35.

i arrived on Tuesday evening; they had coffee, juice and fresh apples available in the new clean dining area.

No children in the pool.

shopping and eating areas close by. parking lot is well lit; no outdoor areas for walking.

only problem I had was access which was somewhat difficult

Room Tip: Ask for a room the furtherest away from the interstate

This is a nice property and it was evident while I was there, they where upgrading the property, so it should even be nicer at this point.

A good, solid Best Western property. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The hallways were a bit dark and not quite as clean as they could be, but this is a budget property, not a luxury resort. The pool was large and clean (although full of children so we avoided it). The surrounding area feels a bit transitional - not unsafe, but also not necessarily a place I'd do a lot of walking around at night alone.

I recommend this property to families and those traveling with pets who are looking for an overnight spot - it's a good, solid hotel for those looking for a place to stopover.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the end of the hall near the back of the hotel - we had the last suite on the end...

It's an average place to stay, we did not try the breakfast. Its location isn't to bad, shopping and coffee shops are about 5-10 away, depending on traffic. What we really dislike are hotels that don't have an automatic door opening system, and this hotel did not have it. It is just very inconvenient when checking in to struggle with the loaded down luggage carrier, as well as the front doors to the hotel!
I'm not sure we'd stay here again, its location is a plus but for the money, we expected more.

Alright, so this was not TERRIBLE...but- we get to our room and boy did it smell musty. I'm talking it really hit your nostrils the second ya walked in. If I hadn't been driving for 12 hours on a hangover with 2 kids under 7..I would've asked for another room....! next gripe..took my kids down to the pool and after about 10-15 mins we had to leave the chlorine was SO STRONG..I mean it was stinging...I actually wondered for a moment if it was clorox int hat pool! Beds were comfy and the breakfast did the job.

This hotel was the best... it was kid friendly and we felt very safe. Everyday we were greated from the staff asking us how they could help us. They gave us suggestions on what attractions to see. The rooms was cleaned everyday unless we told them not to. We loved the heated indoor pool and the breakfast.

Room Tip: ask for a double queen size bed
