They make their own beer which is pretty tasty. Their burgers and BBQ are really good, but they only take cash. Make sure you stop at an ATM before your drive out in the middle of the plains.

A good burger, and good service, But it doesn't live up to the expectations presented on the website and area residents praise. There is nothing else within miles, so if in the area, it is worth a stop to check it out at least once.

My wife and I live near Meers, but don't make it out there frequently. Last night we decided to go out before she has to be away from home for a few days. We arrived at around 6:00 and they were already closing. The server explained that business was slow today. 8 more minutes and we'd have been turned away according to her. It isn't like you just wonder into Meers, you have to be going there to get there.

We sat down and had to get the high chair for out daught ourselves, which isn't a big deal. It took 10 minutes to get our drinks, and there were only two other tables at the time. The only thing being made were hamburgers because they were closing early. My wife had planned on some BBQ. We hardly saw our sever during the meal and never got refills. We did hear her in the back complaining about wanting the guests to hurry up, or someone to hurry up so she could go home.

Other tables were treated with the same disdain and another group had even called in earlier to make sure there were open. They were only served because we were still there. I enjoyed my burger and the cobbler and ice cream, but I've had much better service at McDonalds. Next time, we'll just hit up Wayne's rather than making the journey through the wildlife refuge.
