“Giving Chili's everywhere a bad name”
Reviewed June 12, 2012

First of all, It was the only place in town after 9pm that was open besides McDonalds. We were seated at a booth, given sticky menus, we wiped up food from seat and then saw chunks of tomato(?) behind the condiments. Looking around, it didn't look that much better at any other tables so we took a moistened napkin and wiped table off ourselves. Chairs at tables were sitting all askew, like no one had straightened them. Very unlike other Chili's we have visited. Our drink and appetizer order was taken quickly but didn't arrive til some time later due to a dispute patron/waitress/management were having. Lets just say the chill was off the beers when they arrived and when she finally brought the chips they had been possibly sprayed with oil and reheated. They were not edible and we asked for fresh chips but they were only slightly better. We didn't eat those either. Our entrees were Okay, nothing special. If you think you are going to a Chili's with great management and service, you aren't. Not your typical Chili's.

“Good place to stop”
Reviewed April 20, 2012

We often pass through McAlester en route to Texas and generally end up at a fast food place. This Chili's has been open for a couple of years and is a decent stop to have a meal before continuing our trip. On our last stop there, we were met at the door and promptly taken to a table. The restaurant was pretty full and the bar area was packed, even on a weekend evening. Our server promptly took our drink orders, but my margarita was not delivered very promptly. I ordered the light Santa Fe Ckicken Wrap, although at Chili's nothing is truly "light". The menu didn't list cheese or dressing as components of the wrap, just dressing for dipping. So, I was surprised to find halfway through that there was indeed cheese on it as well as dressing. The lesson here is to not take the menu too literally and ask the server! My husband had a hamburger and was happy with it. Food service was timely. This isn't the best Chili's ever, nor the worst. It can be kind of chaotic. However, for a sit down meal where you get decent food for a decent price, it's fine.
