My wife left a small tote in the room. When we called to have it shipped to us, I gave them a credit card # for the shipping charges. The lady said she'd take care of it, went to the post office or wherever and they would not take the number without the card. I suggested she just take the money out of petty cash and reimburse with my credit card.
After not hearing anything for several days, I called again...and the manager, Kenny, had told her "we don't do that. The only way we send items left behind is if our customer sends us a prepaid addressed mailing box. It's is Wyndham company policy." Having traveled for over 40 years and probably stayed at over 100 LaQuintas and Wyndham properties, I know that is BS.
Bottom line: It took four weeks and half a dozen phone calls to get the silly tote shipped...and yes, I send the prepaid self-addressed box to them, so they could put the empty tote in it and send it.
