Off the beaten path, this is a quiet, relaxing place for a short vacation. The restaurant has good food (with a few misses) for such an isolated location, but unfortunately, during our last few visits, the service was slow, so bring your patience. Other food options are located in the nearest town and the rooms don't have refrigerators. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The lodge rooms are fairly spacious and have comfortable beds. Get an upstairs room (to avoid footsteps above you) facing the lake and enjoy the view from the balcony. Our favorite part of staying here is to explore and enjoy the outdoors. There's plenty of good hiking, scrambling on boulders and rock climbing nearby. I wouldn't call it a "resort" but it's a nice, clean place with decent food and good hiking.

Room Tip: Choose second floor room with view of lake. The lodge has an elevator.

The resort is beautiful and in a beautiful setting in the Granite mountains. We had a Lake View room and the view was gorgeous. Our room was nice but needed work on the A/C unit and better towels. The restaurant has good food and the breakfast buffet on the weekends was great and a good price. We liked best the location and decor of the resort. We liked least our very loud air conditioning unit and the very cheap quality towels.

Room Tip: Get a Lake View room; A/C was extremely loud; towels were small, scratchy, thin - definitely not resort quality

Driving in on Friday night was just breath taking, this was a mini vacation that was much needed. At check in both clerks were very freindly and welcomed us by name. Our room was beautiful and very roomy, the parlor attached was very nice so the family could gather. Very clean rooms and bathrooms were immaculate. There was a wedding party and family reunion in also but the rooms are very quite we never heard the hustle and bustle ot the guest. I particularly like the rustic funiture in the rooms. As we walked thru out the property you were always acknowledged by the employees with a hello or can we help you find something, and giving us nice tidbits of history on the place.
We ate all our meals at property the food was excellent and service again fantastic, we got to know the wait staff even though we were only there 2 nites, and they addressed and greeted us by name!
The property is beautiful along with the art work in and outside, evenings were spent watching for the deer to come out and feed, bringing their young ones with them.
For a relaxing time this is definatly a place to go !
