I travel for business often; usually for extended stays of 2 to 6 weeks. The rooms were plain as far as extended stay hotels go. The beds felt old and worn out. I was actually surprised to hear that the hotel is relatively new. The one day a week the housekeepers come through, they didn't do a real good job. Nothing gets refilled, this includes coffee, soap for the dishwasher, etc... Once you run out, you have to go to the front desk and get it refilled yourself. The printer in the business center did not work and no one could fix it. The fitness center was decent and the laundry was free. Other than that, to sum up my experience in one word would be "boring"!

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor have no overhead noise from those who do not practice the art of common sense and noise discipline.

We stayed here Nov 30 - Dec 3, 2011 for a military graduation! This hotel is only minutes from Sheridan Road which is the main road leading into the military base! There are shops and all the popular restuarants right there. If the weather is warm you could even walk to some if you wanted too. The rooms are all updated with black kitchen appliances. The hotel was very clean and less than one year old. There is no swimming pool but is a fitness cetner and business center. Chad & Esther the managers were so nice and accomodating! I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: I think any room would be good and they do serve fresh fruit and juice and coffe in the mornings!

Comfortable, clean rooms with full size refridgerators, dishwashers, microwave and stovetop. Also comes with a few dishes and utensiles. The hotel itself is very clean and modern. It is not very child friendly, because there is nothing for children to do here. No pool, ect. This is a hotel for business travelers or for people who cannot do without some of the ameneties from home. (kitchenette, wifi,). The beds could definately be better. This hotel is fairly new, and already the beds are just barely a notch above bad. They have nice sheets/comforters, pillows and look stylish, but the matresses certainly are not this hotels strong feature. The carpets are in good shape, as is the wood laminate flooring in the kitchen area. No bad odors, even though they allow pets. If you bring a pet, prepare to pay 40 bucks as a non refundable deposit. I overheard some guest complaining about the fee, as he stated it wasn't listed on whatever travel site he book the hotel from.

Maid service is once a week. That is ok with me but here is the annoying part. They come to your room 2x that day. Once to make the bed, and again a few hours later to clean the rest of it. If you are in your room, they either FORCE you out when they clean or deny you service. Not an issue if you are gone, but if you are occupying it is a real hassle. I have often denied them entry instead and have done my own cleaning. And they take their time when cleaning, Even though you tell them to please make it snappy because you have work to do on your computer or want to SLEEP.

The TV is adequate as are the channels, and the wifi signal is strong but they don't have alot of bandwith. If you plan on streaming netflix or other material you may be sorely disappointed in how long things take to download. Daytime is much better than evening for downloading, but thats how things go. People are home in the evening. Expect wifi errors in the evening due to the bandwith limitation.

There is also the Candlewood Cupboard, which has been in every Candlewood I have been in. Just a small room with sodas, sandwiches, beverages, treats you can buy on the honor system. Also has travel sized personal care products and other unmentionalbes.

The staff is quite friendly. I don't requre a friendly staff as i don't interact with them that much but it is definately a plus. Occaisionally, they through a cookout out back on the grill under the gazeboo. FYI, "outback" is a small cramped area between the back door and rear parking lot, where smokers congregagte. The rest of the hotel is smoke free.

Here is my summary. There isn't enough here to justify its lofty price. You probaby won't feel as if you are being ripped off, but you won't feel pampered either. Its a safe place in a fairly good area. My company, from September through the end of November is paying a 75.00 corporate rate. Try and get your rate down as low as possible. People are coming in and paying 105.00 and up for the same rooms. Obviously if you stay longer with a big group you will get price breaks, but does the long term traveler get more service than the one nighter? No.
If you are willing to pay more than 100.00, take a peek elsewhere before camping here. I actually recommend Candlewood hotels, just not this one because of its higher price and bad mattresses. Maybe because of the constant influx of people working on or visiting Fort Sill, hotel can get away with it.

We stayed here for close to a month and a half and loved it. The service was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. Chad always made it a point to talk to us and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We definitely reccommend this hotel!
