This is a beautiful lake. The wildlife is amazing. We saw foxes, egrets, birds, and amazing sunsets. A truly beautiful place.

Grove has some new cute stores, locals and visitors alike need to stop in and visit. Or pick up brochures at the Grand Lake Visitors Center (clean restrooms and nice folks for info) to see what's new! Things change! Take time to enjoy what is around here...Grand Lake is more than fishing, just look.

We have come to enjoy the Quarterdeck for a casual, dockside meal especially when we have our youngsters along. This very casual outdoor venue is great when you don't want to dress up and want something to keep the kids occupied while you have a beverage and wait for a good, casual dinner. Adjacent to the outdoor deck is a fenced swimming pool that the kids (or adults) can enjoy. If the kids prefer to stay dry, your server will bring a game in which a monkey strives to pick up multiple monkey tails. It's actually pretty fun (a reference to being on Monkey Island) and will keep the little ones engaged. The menu includes some good salads, burgers, and grilled salmon for the healthier types. The kids are offered a dessert of dirt ( chocolate cake) and worms (gummy worms), a hit for all! Don't expect fine wine or import beer. This is a lakeside place that hits the mark in what they are best at.

The Grand Lake of the Cherokees is an awesome place for boating, sailing, water skiing, and any other kind of water sport available. Lots of space for all kinds of boats, plenty of marinas, and restaurants.
