Just great fun to get off the major highway for a few minutes and go see a unique roadside attraction. i mean, how often do you get a chance to see something as unique as this? Cool!

I had always heard about the Blue Whale of Catoosa.
We were in town for a concert at the Hard Rock Hotel and noticed this was just up the highway and decided to check it out.
Very big walk through whale. Lots of fish in the pond.
The bathrooms were closed for the winter so be warned.
I finally got to see this thing. Stop and take a picture. Neat.

The Blue Whale of Catoosa is one of the many eye catching stops on Route 66, you can't miss it, it was build for a wedding present, and took care of many folks for a summer's day to have fun in the water, nice to take a photo, some folks even go fishing here ....

On my way through town I stopped and took a look at the blue whale looks like it was awesome in it's day. But the whole place looks like it needs to be redone ..

How can you not love the blue whale? It's hard to imagine stopping here for a swim, but this place was one of the highlights of our Route 66 trip between St. Louis and the Grand Canyon. It is in great shape, and I'm glad we were able to stop by and see it.
