This cabin is so much more than the pictures. Will definitely book again! Beautiful & spacious! My only complaint would be that the barn doors allow noise to carry, but it wasn't a huge problem for us. We all said we will come back to this cabin again.
The cabin far exceeded our expectations. Reading through the guest book a previous guest said it best - the pictures do not do this place justice. My wife and were looking for a secluded cabin to elope and this was just perfect for us. I try to be fair in my reviews to help future guest, but there really isn't anything negative to say about it. In addition, Teresa was a tremendous host. She went out of her way to make sure our weekend was special. Thank you!
We just returned from our family vacation to The Buckeye and I can't stop thinking about how perfect everything was! Teresa did an amazing job on decorating the place, we felt so comfortable there and it has everything you need for a nice cozy getaway! My 13 year old son said it was the better than the Bahamas and has begged me to go back for his birthday next year. You will not regret booking this cabin, it's absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. This was our first time to ever stay in a cabin and I can't see myself ever renting another! We will definitely be back to make more memories soon!!
Buckeye was a fantastic cabin, carefully put together for a rustic but very comfortable stay. The wrap around porch was just awesome, the hot tub was wonderful and the fire pit was such a fun way to end the evenings. There was plenty of exploring space for young kids and was secluded enough to feel that we were "getting away" yet close enough that a 20 min drive to everything was just perfect. We went kayaking on Mt. Fork River, horseback riding and finally swimming at Broken Bow. For lunch out we went to Grateful Head Pizza which I highly recommend. We cooked at the cabin otherwise. *The nearest real grocery store is in Broken Bow so bring your own groceries or plan accordingly. We relied on the "General Store" the first day and learned our lesson :) We ended up getting burgers from the Cafe which were very good. Also, being unfamiliar with OK law we ended up buying "near beer" as my husband called it. It was also difficult to find wine easily. I found out there are a couple of wineries and liquor stores at which to find real libations. Overall it was a fantastic vacation for our family of 4 and look forward to coming back!
