Stayed in Abigail's room. A nice romantic get away, sit, relax, go for a walk thru the village and at the end of your walk, go to the great restaurant on the main street. Ask Patrick we saw him eating there too! Breakfast was fantastic and very filling. Meet some new travelers over breakfast and then your on your own.

Room Tip: Check out the website and choose your own, the old style bath tube take some doing getting out. Mayb...

Beautiful Place. Great Breakfast. The problem: Sandy was out of town. We had a confirmed reservation and when we arrived, no a/c on in our room. It was 90+ outside. Room temp. was 81 and we couldn't relax in our room until over 3 hours later. There is no wifi in Cloe's room which I needed for business. Patrick was indifferent toward us and made us feel like we were an inconvenience to him. My wife was upset and disappointed which made me very disappointed. This was supposed to be the highlight of our vacation.

This bed and breakfast is located in a town that is frozen in time! What an experience! The Inn is phenomenal: Patrick was a wonderful host, and Sandy provided much needed information prior to our arrival. The entire inn and the rooms are decorated beautifully: every turn reveals new treasures! Guests have access to Keurig coffee makers in their rooms or the inn proper and are greeted with fabulous cookies and convenient snacks. Every detail has been considered and provided for for their guests. Breakfast was a sensory delight and very filling! Beautiful sitting areas both inside and out are also available for guests. We really look forward to returning!

It used to be a Cider Mill in the 1860's. Now it is a completely restored B&B decorated with antiques and primitive arts and crafts. The rooms are lovely and the Abigail Room is an outstanding suite. The bathroom in this suite is huge and it has a claw foot tub. The bedroom has a gas fireplace and sitting area. The ceilings have original wood beams from the Mill. The atmosphere is calm and quiet, perfect for a romantic getaway or restful weekend to unwind. Lots of birds, lovely deck and screened in porch to enjoy the wildlife. It is located in the historic village of Zoar only a short block away from the General Store and Zoar Hotel. Patrick and Sandy are wonderful hosts and work hard to give you a memorable experience. There are fresh cookies when you arrive, tea or coffee on each floor, cold water and so forth. The breakfast was wonderful both days. Stuffed french toast, eggs, sausage and fresh fruit. There are lots of things to do in the area including Zoar special events. We attended a lecture on the history of the Village, did the Village tour with costumed interpreters, and walked the old canal towpath. We were completely charmed by this old separatist village from the early 1800's and will be back when we are in the area.

Room Tip: The Abigail room is a wonderful suite.

We stayed at The Cider Mill last week and loved it! We stayed 3 nights and had the Elizabeth room, and the Abigail room. Both rooms were beautiful. The Inn is an experience in itself. Everywhere you look, every nook, every cranny, is a visual feast. Sandy's decorating ability alone makes this place worth a visit, not to mention her huge, spectacular, delicious breakfasts. The rooms are comfortable and very cozy. Sandy is an exceptionally warm and gracious host, you can tell she has put her heart into this. This was a wonderful place to stay in a very interesting town to visit.

Room Tip: all the room are lovely, but the Abigail room is amazing and very roomy. If you need tv, the Abigai...

This is a very charming and well restored piece of history. The entire place is cozy and clean. The breakfast was amazing! For a rather fair price, the Inn keepers make this a must stay place in central Ohio.

I tried to book a stay here after being cancelled at another B&B in town. They said that they had a group of teachers staying there, but there was a room available. I said that I’d take whatever they had, we’re just looking for a room. When they found out that our baby would be joining us, I was told that we couldn’t stay there. The walls are very thin and we might disturb the teachers (despite the fact that he is a very quiet and well behaved little person). Huh, I was under the impression that teachers liked kids!? They referred me to a third inn that wouldn’t let us stay - see my review of The Keeping Room.

Dear Angry Dad 13,
I am sorry you feel that way about Zoar, the Cider Mill Bed and Breakfast, and the other B&B's in town, but there are some B&B's that are just not suitable and safe for babies and toddlers. The CM is a historic building and has a third floor catwalk that is open to the first floor, being a mother and educator I would not feel comfortable with that open space and small children's activity levels . Also, crying babies do not make for a relaxing adult get away.
