“Great Food”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

We've never had anything to complain about when eating at Antones. The food is delicious always!!! There is nothing like their special salad with the tuna and salami in it. My friends and family always enjoy eating there. It is a nice atmosphere also. The only complaint we have is that the one restauant in Howland closed.

“New address. Good food. Slow when busy”
Reviewed September 22, 2012

Note the new address: 4698 Belmont Avenue. We went to the old location based on an old web page. The directions from the old address to the new one posted at the old site only make sense to locals. GPS users such as we needed to find a local person to direct us. A 10 minute walk became a 20 minute drive!
Once there, they were very busy and service was slow.
But the food was good. The meatballs were large and tasty. Moist, not dry. The pasta was average good.
A good value for simple Italian food.

“Great food, decent interior”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

We were pleasantly pleased by how tasty the food was here, and the variety available on the menu. The all-you-eat special that included a bowl of soup, a salad, and a bowl of pasta with meatballs was more than enough food- we couldn't even consider asking for a second helping. I thought the soup I ordered (tomato basil) tasted fresh, although perhaps a little too "saucy" for me. The salad was fabulous, and the meatballs were wonderful. Wish I had room to finish it all.

“Big disappointment”
Reviewed May 14, 2012

Ever since moving to Girard last year, I had been hearing about Antone's. Couldn't wait to go. I was so disappointed, The food was bland, poor presentation and the wait staff seemed to know everyone who walked through the door, but us. Needless to say, we were ignored. Didn't get a re-fill on our drinks nor asked how our meal was.

“Microwaved frozen crap.”
Reviewed March 4, 2012

Not sure where to begin. White fish primavera was microwaved fish w/o seasoning frozen veggies from a bag and a ladle of sauce dumped on it Grilled chicken parm was again microwaved chickens that after a bite was pushed away. The chicken diablo was supposed to be egg battered chicken but instead was microwaved chicken, the sherry wine red sauce was not that but just plain sauce and pretty sure the mushrooms were rotten. Mr Scianna needs to spend more time in his stores and less time at the country club where he gets his meals every day. The Belmont ave store is doomed. Only 2 people of 11 ate their meal and those were pannini sandwiches, something any drunk bar cook could make.
