“Private getaway with all the essentials”

My boyfriend and I met our friends for a "couples weekend" and decided to stay at the cabin. It was great. The owners are friendly and helpful in providing suggestions about hiking and eating in the area, and the cabin was clean and had everything we needed. My boyfriend and I had the entire first floor to ourselves while our friends slept in the large 2 bed bedroom upstairs, we brought some food with us and made breakfasts, and we all sat in the big "recreation" area upstairs playing games and reading books the owners provided. One of the afternoons we even ate lunch on the porch after walking the short distance to the Clifton Gorge. In all it was a wonderful stay and the cabin is a small walking distance from the old mill, the gorge, and the opera house, and an easy drive to Yellow Springs for more activities.

“We loved this place”
Reviewed February 29, 2016 for a stay in February 2016

The cabin was cozy and kept very clean! We noticed how fresh the towels smelled and wondered what their laundry secret was! It was perfect for my large group (four adults and two toddlers). We stayed in late Feb and enjoyed the early pop of yellow from the crocus flower (although, I think we are having an early spring) and the kids enjoyed the gold fish in the small running pond. The cabin is located nicely to many attractions and hiking trails. It is surprisingly very easy to drive into Yellow Springs and took no time at all!

“very accommodating”
Reviewed November 1, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Two lifelong friends and I meet every year and spend a few days together. This year we decided to be in Yellow Springs, Ohio because it's such a neat town, with good restaurants, artsy shops, and trails. We decided to stay in Clifton at the cabin instead of in Yellow Springs, feeling it would be quieter, and only 5 minutes from Yellow Springs. Ken and Rob are very nice, and have the house just across the garden from the cabin. The cabin was very comfy with a full kitchen, 1 full bathroom downstairs, a queen bed downstairs, a twin and full bed upstairs, with lots of games and books available. There is no bathroom upstairs, but this was doable for us.
We were there in October so the garden was done for the year, but must be beautiful when in full bloom. The cabin was very peaceful and quiet, the beds very comfortable, our stay was enjoyable.

“Wonderful Stay”
Reviewed September 16, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Wanted a cabin close to Dayton International Airport for an annual Fall get-away with a friend. Clifton Garden Cabin was only an easy 30 minute drive from airport. So happy I discovered this cabin! Owners, Ken and Rob, are extremely welcoming, cabin is as advertised and so clean and accommodating. The gardens are gorgeous and well tended! We enjoyed walking around Yellow Springs and the shops and restaurants. Made dinner one evening with groceries purchased at the market in Yellow Springs, and found the kitchen to be well stocked with everything we needed. My friend and I throughly enjoyed our stay!

“This place was wonderful!”
Reviewed August 31, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The service we experienced was great. After we had settled in, the owners came over and introduced themselves and told us about the hummingbirds in the beautiful garden just outside the cabin. The cabin is immaculate with lots of comfortable chairs, couches, and beds, and a desk for writing. My husband and I hiked the Clifton Gorge which is located near the property. We found some nice restaurants, an interesting book store in Yellow Springs (a 10 minute drive), and we attended a play at Antioch College which was very well done. All in all, we had a fantastic weekend.

“Quaint, comfy cabin and beautiful garden”

We loved the cabin, garden, and the little town of Clifton. The cabin had a comfy bed and everything we needed. The shower even had shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner in case we forgot any of those. Ken and Rob gave us info about the area, places to eat, told us about nearby Yellow Springs. I'd love to visit once a month during the summer just to see all the different flowers and shrubs in bloom!

“Beautiful Garden, wonderful hosts”

We had a wonderful stay at the Clifton Garden Cabin with my family. We all enjoyed the beautiful garden and it was so nice to have the Mill within a short walking distance and best of all, the we were able to see fireflies at night.
The beds were more comfortable than any "Cabin" that I've ever stayed in and the hosts were both very friendly and inviting. We loved the quiet of the location and look forward to see what they've done to their home ad garden on our next stay there.
