Description: Spoon Market is located in a historic building in downtown Wooster, OH formally known as The Gold Star Store where locals would shop for their seeds, feed and farm supplies.Spoon Market & Deli opened its doors in June 2011. The idea of creating a neighborhood resource for the finest locally grown products and a wide range of ethnic ingredients became a reality behind the vision of Jordan and Patrice Smith. In the process they met Adam Nussbaum, a local butcher, who had a desire to offer his craft of handcut meats and homemade sausages to people in the community. Together, sharing their visions, Spoon Market & Deli was built. Our vision is to share our passion for excellence in food and service. We want to bring you the finest food and service Wooster and the surrounding area has to offer. Our food choices are staggering. Locally grown produced prime beef dry-aged on premise, freshly baked artisan bread and pastries, a collection of the finest cheeses, a list of unique wines and craft beers. Our passion reaches beyond the market. The deli serves breakfast, lunch, and specialty created meals to finish for you and your family.

My wife and I will drive 30 minutes to go to Spoon Market for their whimsical sandwiches and shopping. You can have a wonderful meal, get some specialty gourmet items from their market and even watch them butcher meats fresh right there in the store!

Oh, and they have a nice selection of craft beers too!

Can't go wrong with Spoon!

Loved the ambiance. Sort of upscale but not to the point of being snooty. Good selection of made in-house gourmet type sandwiches. Decent selection of wines and "craft" beers for takeout, good selection of cheeses and cured meats, along with the various accoutrements; spreads, tapenades, etc. Not really a coffee shop per se, but they had a couple of choices each morning that suited our needs.

I keep hearing how wonderful this place is so decided to try it. As soon as I walked in the smell was so overwhelming from the cheese or something made me sick to my stomach. There is no way I could eat anything there due to the smell sorry!

I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy your experience at Spoon Market. It is unfortunate that you were turned off by what you smelled when you entered our store and were not able to try our delicious sandwiches. While it is possible that you smelled cheese (as we do have a nice selection of both domestic and imported cheeses in our deli), it is more likely that the aroma you encountered was that of our baking kale chips. They have a very distinguishable scent that many people love and instantly identify with Spoon Market. That smell is certainly not everyone's cup of tea, however.
If you're interested in giving us another shot to impress you with our menu, I would encourage you to either call for delivery (which we provide free of any fees) or for a carry-out order. I would be happy to offer you 10% off your first order - just ask for the manager and I'll take care of the rest.
Thanks for the opportunity!

Went for lunch in this NY inspired deli in downtown Wooster. The ambience was great and the staff very helpful and outgoing. As fellow midwestern residents, we really appreciate a small town experience of folks that step outside their boundaries and create a unique atmosphere. Three cheers for Spoon!

Business breakfast. Excellent coffee, great smoothie, was more than tempted by two types of the local salami from the chill counter. Servivce with a smile, nice and relaxed. Definitely will be back. they know their onions. Just wish the butchers had been open at 8am..would doubtless have done some damage.
