“A Music Lover's Paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2013

Where else in small town America can you enjoy listening to young professional singers bring new life to classic operettas and broadway musicals in an intimate theater setting where even the last row is a "good seat" This is a gem that makes Wooster a better place to live than many small (pop. 26,000) places. We're blessed!

A fabulous way to see several wonderful productions in a short period of time, in a relaxed and lovely setting.

“If you've not been, you need to go”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2012

My buddy Joe suggested we might like the OLO, after hearing my raving about the Indianapolis Opera's production of "The Pirates of Penzance." So, last year, we took off for Wooster to see two productions and had such a great time we returned this year to see three shows. If you like live musical theatre in the grand tradition, this is the place for you. We saw at least one favorite actor from last year and this year's company was top-notch. Plenty of street parking and the local restaurants are accustomed to theatre patrons needing to get out on time to see the productions. Order your tickets in advance and enjoy.

“a plethora of wonderful shows and music and a festival not to be missed dnd”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2012

OLO Ohio Light Opera is a wonderful group of professional singers and dancers who perform 8 shows a summer two most days. The group is sensational and totally Broadway quality. It is a gem and one of a kind. The setting is a fantastic theater seating 500 very comfortable, and a totally excellent orchestra under the baton of professional conductors. If you like live music a trip down memory lane you need to come here. The shows are performed so that if you stay 7 days you can see all of them. People come from all over the world, and repeat every year. Lovely Inn and several hotels nearby, a totally fantastic experience i highly recommend this wonderful venue in a college almost ivy league atmosphere with many interesting sights. Less than an hour from Cleveland but much closer in feeling to old Vienna and Budapest. A worth while destination that makes new friends every season while keeping the old ones happy by keeping the big musical family in tact.Put it on your must do list. I did and am very glad I did!

“A Musical Treat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2012

A hidden gem in Amish country. A summertime performance at the Ohio Light Opera is the perfect way to spend an afternoon or evening. The venue is perfect. The theater is at the College of Wooster. Easy to find and plenty of parking. The theater itself is small and every seat has a clear view of the stage. The seats are roomy with plenty of leg room. The sound system was great, every song could be heard and enjoyed. The ushers and staff were courteous and friendly. We saw a production of A Connecticut Yankee. It was charming. Professional productions and top notch singers what more could you ask for!
