Inniswood is the kind of destination that you would have on your itinerary if you were vacationing in the area. The gardens are all beautifully maintained year-round and there are several features geared towards children. We have been to similar attractions in other cities and paid $10 -$20 for admission. Since inniswood is part of the Metro Parks system, there is no admission fee and parking is free.

I live in Westerville and recently during the fall colors went over to Inniswood Metro Gardens. The tress was just beautiful and the smell of fall was in the air. They had a surprise this year. A all white hummingbird played them a visit. It was so neat to see this one of a kind bird. A feeder was placed up and it flew up to it and allowed me to get a great picture.
What a wonderful end to fall this year. Now, the white of winter will be approaching us.

The gardens are one of Westerville's main attactions. Bring a book, sit in the shade. enjoy the flowers or wal the boardwalk of one half mile. Do NOT bring a picnic lunch. Food and PETS are expressly forbidden. Many varieties of plants, roses, herbs and even a secret garden!

If you are looking for a quiet/beautiful place to walk, Inniswood is for you. Walking is easy with an occasional slight incline here and there. Overall it's flat. There is a secret garden for kids (and adults alike). We marvel at the stunning displays of color almost year round. It's especially perfect for wedding and/or family photos. You can NOT take food or pets onto the grounds but there are picnic tables just outside the entrance. Once inside Inniswood you will find it hard to believe you're not out in the country as opposed to being right in the middle of a suburban neighborhood. We never grow tired of this park.

The flowers and plants change every season. The atmosphere is beautiful. Great for young and old. Not for the hard core hikers, but a gorgeous, magical place for a stroll with friends or a loved one.
