We visited here July 2013 on a rainy day. We had with us three children ranging in ages from 9-13. The children thought it was Very Cool! You will see LOTS of stalactites and Stalagmites, some passages are very narrow. Also it is cold, around 50 degrees so take a light jacket, with a hood preferably because it is a bit drippy (maybe because it was raining on the surface or it may be like that all the time). You are not allowed to touch anything so this may be difficult for young children, it was hard enough for my older children. The Photo they do has no flash so your image will be dark, but the background of the caverns is beautiful. Cost is well worth this tour. We will go back a try another tour next year.

Took an 8yr old and 9yr old on the "Natural Wonder" tour. Money well spent. This park is extremely clean (even the restrooms). The guides did an excellent job interpreting and there is a lot to learn! This cave has several rare geologic formations to see on the tour. The cave is nice and cool too.

The gift shop is a nice stop with lots of kids and adults trinkets at reasonable prices.

**There are 60 stairs to climb up at the end of the tour.

All I can say is wow this was a very cool place to see. The staff is really friendly and the tours are packed with info. What an amazing sight. The walk ways a sometimes wet but its a concrete floor so no woories on footing. If you can a must see.

We decided to meet up with some family and go to the Ohio Caverns. I remember going there as a child and thought it was amazing then, but as an adult it truly was amazing! There are two tours, the historic and the natural wonder tour. (you get a $4 discount if you do both). Our tour guides were John and Eric and they were great, very friendly and very informative. The natural wonder tour was the best tour because you see a lot more color and beauty of the caverns. However, the historic tour was of a different part of the cave and we are glad we did this one because we got the background on how the cave came to be. There isn't much to do in the West Liberty area aside from the Piatt Castles (which we did). If you're looking for restaurants, go to Springfield or Dayton.

We just went here on a cloudy day as something else in the area to do with kids and were pleasantly surprised. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the experience for kids and adults was very unique. The caverns are really pretty cool and something you don't get to do all the time. We had a 10 month old and a 2.5 year old and the 2.5 really enjoyed it too. It was about a 45 minute guided walking tour in the caves. Would definitely not bring a stroller, if you have young kids you definitely need to carry them. Great spot for a few hours of entertainment for something different.
