Stopped here for a few hours on our last day of vacation to the Cincinnati area. My youngest son loves Thomas so this was the place for him. The place was very clean and laid out nicely. They have the largest train display in the world I believe it was over 25,000 square feet of display with over 100 bridges and on the second level and awesome model display of the old Coney Amusement Park which is in Cinncy. There is a play area with a indoor jungle gym, train tables, and an area with five different fun houses. The curtain maze and the glass mirror maze was really fun. Outside they had a small Thomas the train that the kids could ride. A small cafe area inside and a large train/gift shop with tons of Thomas the Train items. We could have spent the whole day here and would like to come back over the Christmas holidays since I hear the place is all made up for Christmas time. If your in the area and have kids that like trains you gotta stop here.

We have visited several model train exhibits, but this was definitely the best. EnterTRAINment Junction covers the history of trains in the US with a series remarkably detailed displays for each era. There are so many clever and beautifully designed details that we went back through a second time and caught things that we missed the first time through. We have no doubt that we still didn't see everything, so we plan to return soon. In fact, you are encouraged to look for these details by some check-off sheets that prompt you to search for things. At first I thought that these sheets were for kids, but later realized that they were meant to help you refocus at a deeper level. For instance, at the Civil War era display, look for the beautifully crafted tents of a Union encampment near a farmhouse. Also, a very cleverly rendered forest fire on top of a wooded hill.
You can also go up a level and look down on most of the displays. At the upper level, there is also a model of Cincinnati's old Coney Island. There are a number of special activities for kids.

There is a small lunch counter which we appreciated since we had decided to make another pass through after lunch. We also enjoyed reading about Neil Young's involvement in model trains and his innovations.

I would definitely recommend a visit. The admission fees are reasonable in light of the work put into this endeavor and the enjoyment you will get.

Overall it is a little on the pricey side, and is worth it if you like model trains and have a couple hours to kill. For those with children you may want to look at other options for the price. The amusement area has a few walk through areas that will entertain for about 30 mins. The mirror maze is a must though! The actual trains will entertain those without children as they walk and read about the history of trains. For those with children the play area is small and not suffiecient(located about halfway through the displays). Overall just mediocre place to spend a couple hours.

Better than I thought it was going to be, and enjoyed by our "all ages" group. Take your time so you can take in all the details.

We made a day trip from Columbus to Entertrainment. We took our 3 year old grand daughter. The display is huge and very well done. We spent about 2-3 hours looking at the display and also some time in the kids area where there was some hands on trains for the kids. A good size hobby shop is on site too. Nice restrooms and seating was available around the display. The place was well run and clean. We plan on going back soon.
