I visited Wapakoneta to do the Armstrong Air and Space Museum. (Well worth a visit, honoring the space program and the first man on the moon, Neil Armstrong.)
J. Marie's is on the main street in the historic downtown. It is less than 10 minutes from the museum, and I always prefer local restaurants over the chain eateries you will find near attractions and the interstates.
A nice casual atmosphere. Large bar -- and a large selection of craft beers on tap -- not just some great Ohio brews, but from California (Coronado Coastwise), Michigan (Bells), Pennsylvania (Troeg's), and more. Small but nice selection of wines by the glass and bottle.
Good Happy Hour drink prices M-F from 2 to 6.
The food is much more than pub foods. Nice sharables (fish tacos, baked brie, etc.) and a good selection of salads.
For entrees, everything from wood-fired pizzas to sandwiches and wraps. Try the wood-fired salmon burger or, if you are more traditional, the house burger. Bison burger, too.
Limited seafood at lunch.
A nice touch: baked redskin potato instead of French Fries with your selection. They claim great local desserts, but I was full.
