Logan's Retreat was perfect for our family vacation. It is located in an area where we could go any direction and see the beautiful Hocking Hills attractions. However, It was also a place where we could stay in, play games, fish or just hang out and never see anyone outside our family. We enjoyed the rec barn, the games and movies provided as well as the beautiful dining room where we ate our meals together. And my personal favorite part was that during the two rain storms that moved through that week, we sat on the front porch and looked over the grass down the mountain. It was truly a fantastic place for our family vacation.
The location and view at this property are amazing. With the game room, fire pit, pond, fantastic hot tub, and rec barn, there was so much to do we could have stayed busy during our whole trip, however nearby trails and food choices called us, too. I'd recommend a visit to the John Glenn Astronomy Park and local winery. Will definitely book more stays at Logan's Retreat!
The home is beautiful and there are many extras to enjoy. There is a hot tub outside and a pool table and foosball in the basement My family enjoyed the little barn which cozily heated. It has a basketball hoop, ping pong table, corn hole and darts. What fun we had.
We loved Logan's Retreat so much that we have booked a family weekend getaway this winter and last.I am sure to book again in 2020!
Logan's Retreat owned up to it's name....a true retreat from City life. We had a great family getaway, enjoying boating and fishing on the pond, the hot tub, playing games in the game room and the rec barn and hiking around, both on the property and at the nearby Hocking Hills Park. Recommend for families with kids/teens.
Nice setup with activities in the house and pole barn. And the fish were biting in the pond as well. Not too far from civilization and hocking hills destinations. Would also work well for friends and family to stop by for fun and hang out. Hot tub was nice to relax in at the end of the day. Our family had a great time.
Stayed 3 nights and had a great time together. Beds could be bigger and more comfortable. By the last night we were ready for our own bed. Plenty to do though at the cabin. However the Tvs could also be a little bigger. Nice kitchen that was stocked with plates, cups and coffee.
My fiance and I wanted a weekend get away to hocking hills and we decided to stay at Logan's Retreat for Valentine's Day and the release of fifty shades freed. It was so cozy, warm and inviting. Although it was cold out, we didn't get to enjoy the rec barn or old man's cave like we planned. Just relaxing at the cabin was enough. The hot tub was awesome, and it's under a covered porch which is what sold me on this place. If you are going in the cold months I do recommend a 4wd vehicle to make it up the hill to the cabin. But overall our stay was amazing and we will definitely be going back.
