The girls at the front desk when we checked in we're very friendly and helpful. The girl that worked in the bar was the best. The girl that worked behind the desk after 4:00 should be fired. I will never stay at your hotel again because of that desk clerk.

We apologize if one of our desk clerks was unprofessional in any way. We like to pride ourselves on customer service. I'm glad to see our first shift and restaurant staff were able to give you great service. I hope you will give us a second chance and stay with us in the future. Please dont hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Thank You

The hotel cost was expensive with few amenities. For $107 we didn't even get continental breakfast! My family and I recently stayed at a hotel for $99 with a water park, buffet breakfast, fridge in room and it was all included in the price of the room. We were a bit discouraged with the quality of the room, cleanliness, and room features. Needless to say, this was a bad experience.

Checked into Ramada for two nights into a lock-off room. Not my request. Heard the neighbors normal conversation and their TV (normal volume) all Friday night. Should have turned the fan on continuous to drown out the next door room noise. Much better the 2nd night without neighbors next door.

I stayed at this hotel in August 2012 and was not impressed. This hotel is shabby and needs a lot of remodeling, and is a 2-star at most, not a 3-star as indicated on the internet. The rooms were comfortable and appeared to be relatively clean. But the rooms were plain-looking and shabby. Secor Road is a busy thoroughfare, making is difficult to pull out of the hotel at times. In the first room we had, the refrigerator, which I had to pay extra for, could not be easily opened. Then we took a shower and the bathtub was clogged and filled with a half-foot of water. We asked to be switched to another room, which they readily obliged. In the second room, the bathroom smelled, probably due to the shower curtain and mildew in the bathtub. And the television did not work properly; at one point we even lost cable service. I will not stay here again.

Room Tip: There are probably no good rooms. Some of the rooms face the hotel parking lot, others face a vacan...

Stayed for two nights for a nearby wedding with my wife and 3-year-old daughter. The place is still being renovated and seems like it was built for many, many more guests than it had. We shared the hotel with a college football team and a wedding, and barely ran into a soul in the hallways. We actually drove around the building to a different door instead of walking to the room through reception, because it was that far away.

We ended up not getting the room cleaned because of a hiccup in their record keeping -- we had put out the Do Not Disturb sign until about 10 a.m., and they never followed up despite my calling twice. But the front desk clerk was kind enough to bring some fresh towels and a big bag of ice because the machine on our floor wasn't working. She appeared at the door within 5 minutes of my call.

The server at breakfast was reason enough alone to stay at this hotel. She is dynamite, knows how to help parents of young children, and tells great stories. The restaurant becomes a bar at night and is cheap but uncrowded.

The room itself was in decent shape and very clean. We paid $65 including breakfast.

Having read several unfavorable reviews from and prior 2011, I was hesitant after booking the rooms. However the room and service turned out to be very good. Clean updated rooms ... no complaints about the room what-so-ever. Service was excellent. Restaurant was average.

Okay, so we paid $59 plus tax, so our expectations were not high. However, a reasonable expectation would be a shower that doesn't make you want to shudder -- this property didn't provide that. We used the room as a quick in-and-out while traveling from NJ to IL.

Arrived at 9:30 p.m. -- needed to request sheets for an air mattress (traveling with husband, DD13 and DS18), and phone didn't work. DH went to front desk, and maintenance fixed the phone immediately (even though we said several times we wouldn't need it again). Sheets arrived very promptly, too.

Nice lobby -- we had high hopes for the room. Room smelled musty -- there was no real closet -- just a rack. Bathroom - ew. There were hairs in the tub area, as well as major mildew. Some Chlorox and a toothbrush would have done wonders. It just felt dirty -- no one in our party would shower in it, and it made us question the cleanliness of the rest of the room.

The beds were comfortable, but there was no bedspread or cover -- just very, very lumpy quilt-like blankets covered with sheets. The lumps in the quilt were thick enough that I had to check the bed to see if there was something under the cover.

Apparently, the property's going through renovation, but I sincerely doubt the room we had was renovated.
