“Love the Variety of Trails from Woods to Prairie”
Reviewed May 12, 2012

My favorite metropark! Five trails, all color coded - each very different from the other! The red trail takes you way upto the highland woods with many twists and turns. The blue trail goes down to the creek and has a boardwalk over the swampy riverbed. Such a variety of wild life - if you go early you can see the deer - especially on the blue trail! The prairie trail has many wildflowers and birds and the trail is not hilly like the blue & red. There are also picnic areas, swings & slides for the little ones and bike trails. The Stranahan Homes' Stables are converted into offices, restrooms, resting area and a wonderful window of wildlife where you can view the forest animals eating seed, suet or drinking from the pond. There is also a bee hive window to observe. The Stranahan Home is also available to tour and has lovely gardens at the end of the blue trail.

“Really nice trails and plenty of deer to be seen”
Reviewed February 1, 2012

Wildwood Metropark has paved and unpaved trails of various lengths. They are well marked and once you are in the park the city seems far away, even though the expressway and a major road borders the park. Really beautiful in the summer and on snowy winter days. The Manor House is beautiful.

“Nature at it's best”
Reviewed January 29, 2012

Wildwood has a little for everyone. Trails of varying lengths along with the manor house. Bike trails, playground and lots of open ground to throw around a ball or frisbee.

“Nice City Park”
Reviewed January 5, 2012

Great to take a hike but it is the most over-used park in the Toledo area. Erosion is a big problem here. If you want to people watch, this is the park to go to.

“Visit in the fall!”
Reviewed August 27, 2009

Visit in the fall! This is a nice inner city metropark with respectable walking trails.

Sometimes, the park offers late night guided tours with rangers.
