Most kid's museums suffer from a lot of wear and tear. Not so the Imagination Station. The place is very clean, modern and well maintained. There are a wide variety if exhibits that will interest kids of all ages. Just don't expect to spend more than 2 hours there.

A great place to kids and adults! There are some height restrictions on certain exhibits, too bad for little kids but adults can have a go at pedalling a bicycle backward suspended high off the floor or the bungee cord that you have to hold on to.
Our little boys could get enough of the gravity room. They have a cafeteria on site. Prices are slightly on a high side. After doing a little calculation we opted for a whole pizza for 4 of us at around $13 compared to a slice at $3.50. The entrance fee was reasonable. We much prefer this than the one in Ann Arbor (smaller & expensive!).

Another neat place to visit with kids. A lot of science related things to experience at Imagination Station. Plan to spend 3 or 4 hours when you are here.

While touring around Toledo, we happened upon Imagination Station. This place is great for the kiddies, and there is some fun stuff for the adults too. Lots of hands on and interactive activities. The hi-wire bicycle is super cool. Pretty inexpensive as well.

We planned a fun day trip to Imagination Station in Toledo today with our two school-age kids, 5 1/2 and 8. I had heard what a great place this was, and we were not disappointed. The staff at the admission desk was very friendly, helpful (thanks for the bandage!) and welcoming. We paid $70 to get into the Toronto Science Centre, so the $36 we paid for our family of four ($10/adult, $8/kid) seemed like a bargain. We saw the Grossology exhbit, played for a good 10 minutes on the giant marble run (uses pool balls instead of marbles), then headed off to the exhibits. We have been to the Grand Rapids (Michigan) Children's Museum and the Toronto Science Centre in the past year, and this museum was by far everyone's favorite. There are great activities for every age level-- toddlers to adults! My kids loved the water exhibit, the Roller Coaster simulator (costs extra, but WORTH IT), the engineering exhibit, the food/energy exhibit-- the two hours we spent there flew by and we still could have stayed longer. I wish we'd known that metered parking was free on weekends (didn't see any signs about this, but one of the museum workers told us this)-- that's my only complaint!
For parents who take note of these types of thing, the bathrooms were clean and well-stocked; there were helpful, friendly associates whenever we needed them; and there were hourly special live events (Spooky Science was one since it's the weekend before Halloween).
On the hour-long drive home, we couldn't decide which exhibit we liked best. They were all great in different ways. We are already planning our return visit!
