My in-laws love this place, they were teenagers when it opened and offered hamburgers for a nickel. A nickel was significantly cheaper than the other burger place in town. So it became the hot spot for them through their entire growing up years. Funny enough those same individuals continue to frequent this burger joint nearly every morning for breakfast. I like the nostalgia, listening to the more senior locals talk about the good ole days but the food is over priced, the bacon is paper thin, they don't carry tabasco sauce, and the only redeeming factor is some very tasty apple turnovers. So when I stop in at Clancy's I do so for two reasons. To listen to story's of days gone bye and to show my appreciation for the great community sponsorships they openly provide in Sidney. The turnovers are at least worth a spin through the drive through if you happen to be driving bye.
