“Weekend Get-a-way”
Reviewed December 22, 2011

My fiance and I traveled to this hotel for the first time as a weekend get-a-way and what turned out to be an early Christmas present. It was a wonderful trip, and my fiance would not have been able to pull off a surprise trip to IKEA without the help of the hotel. Upon our arrival to our beautiful (and spacious) room, there was a bottle of champage, some yummy treats and an IKEA magazine waiting for us! The hotel itself was very clean and everyone was very helpful and friendly. We had breakfast the next morning and although it would have been nice to have a few more hot options on the buffet, you could place an order for a true breakfast with the server, which we did not.
All and all, I would highly reccommend this hotel.

This is one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at. We had to go to Cincinnati suddenly and searched quickly for a good deal and a nice place. We knew we had to find a place with a suite and not just a room. There were many options. But when we checked reviews, and the bed bug registry, one place jumped out, the Double Tree Suites by Hilton Hotel. This did not disappoint. There were four of us, two suites, and it was perfect. The Manager, and all the staff, were very attentive and helpful. I’ve stayed at a number of places, even another associated hotel outside of New York, and this is definitely number one. Thank you, you made a difficult time much easier

Thank you for choosing our hotel for your trip. I am happy to hear that you found our staff "attentive and helpful." We pride ourselves on our customer service, and are always in the top 10% of the Brand for Customer Satisfaction.
Great to hear how much you liked the suites too. We just finished a number up upgrades within the last 4 months including: all new matresses and linens, 2 new HD TVs in each suite, a brand new AT&T wireless internet system, and an all new guest room amenity package. More upgrades are scheduled for 2012!
Thank you again for staying with us, we hope you will choose us again if your travels bring you to the area for business or recreation.

I have stayed at this hotel for busines several time, never thought to give it a review. It is a full service, suburb of Cincinnati, hotel (which is hard to find in the suburbs). Rooms service, great amenities and each room is a suite. The room had a king bed (with TV) and full bathroom in the bedroom (which can be closed off from the living room). In the living room there was a sofa (pull-out), a chair, TV, desk, small refridgerator, microwave, sink....a great set up for a small family.

The outdoor pool area is beautiful, with a courtyard, and plenty of space to play and/or relax.

The restaurant is unbelievable for a hotel restaurant. The steak was out of this world! I highly recommend.

The warm chocolate chip cookie upon check-in was a nice touch also.

The team here is so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us! We agree, our 2 room suites are perfect for business traveling, or a family.
Thank you also for your great restaurant review. The Bistro has won the "Best Entree Award" for 4 years in a row at the Taste of Blue Ash. This year we even won "Best Appetizer" for our delicious Crab Cake.
Thanks for staying with us, we hope you come back soon!

Three things greet you as you arrive here: a giant, colorful, uncaged, live parrot; a gracious, accommodating front desk staff; and a warm, just-baked, delicious chocolate-chip cookie. It's an appealing place to stay, with comfortable beds, spacious, clean (though unfashionably bland, sedate, quasi-Victorian) suites and friendly, cheerful, eager to please employees. If you're looking for Philippe Starck contempo whizbang, this hotel ain't it. But you can relax here by the well-maintained, sunny outdoor pool, workout in the exercise room, eat in the Bistro restaurant (which I heard is good but didn't try,) park for free, keep food in your fridge without having to pay a fee for a ridiculous in-room "bar," cook it in your microwave, and sip Wolfgang Puck coffee, made from simultaneously-brewed one-serving pouches, with your traveling companion. The location is very convenient to anywhere you want to go, including back to the airport. My only complaints are the paucity of electrical outlets and the $4.95 a day hi-speed internet charge.

My family stayed at this hotel over Labor Day weekend as we had a wedding to attend. The hotel is quite large, 4 different entrances so you can park close to your room entry door. We had a King Suite that had a generously sized living room with a counter, refrigerator, pull out couch and a PATIO out to the pool area. The King bed was extremely comfortable, there was a dressing area, and a very small bathroom. The bedroom has a folding door to close off the living room; it's a louvered folding door, so it's not solid, but it was sufficient to block out some noise from the kids.

Our room was by the pool, but we did not hear noise from the kids playing. We had a small table and chairs on the patio to enjoy the outdoors. The bathroom towels were large and heavy- very nice!

My only disappointment was that our 'by request' items that we ordered did not arrive. The hotel had allowed us to check in early, so we thought it would just be a matter of waiting, however, when that time came/went, we called to front desk and mentioned they don't have access to the requests (?). Anyway, we stated what we wanted (fruit/cheese tray, extra towels and pillows), and our requests were delivered. I had also checked the box for turn down service, but when we returned that night, no turndown. Not a big deal, but we really liked the idea of being able to place these specific orders without having to call to the front desk.

Anyway, nice stay; good play area around the pool for the kids, quiet room (didn't a hear a thing from the hallway). The kids said the pull out bed "wasn't bad", so all in all, a very nice stay!

Room Tip: Poolview was nice!

We were paying a hefty nightly rate of over $130 (as part of a block booking for a hockey tournament) so frankly we were expecting a lot. It was clear upon arrival that the owners had let the property become dated. Most of the service staff was okay but lacked that wow factor that would have made this review better. Surprisingly both the breakfast buffet and wireless internet were upcharges which seems out of touch with these being complimentary at most other suburban hotels these days. And frankly don't let the "Suite" tag fool you...in this case it meant a small refridgerator and a couch but nothing close to anything resembling a kitchen. Of particular note is the irritating bi-fold door that seprates the sleeping area from the sitting area. Flimsy and very awkward to open and close. Next visit we'll shop around more since I think we could have done much better.

We were here for 8 nights for a hockey tournament and vacation and had never stayed at a Doubletree before. It was one of the tournament hotels, so we got a good rate for a two queen suite that was very roomy and comfortable. The staff were all excellent, the facilities clean and food excellent (if not a little pricey). . It was convenient to everything we needed (we had a vehicle) as it is right off the interstate convenient to shopping malls and attractions. We had the windows open most of the nights, and the nice grove of trees between us and the interstate kept the noise to a minimum. The only down sides that I can mention are that the only dining on site is quite pricey, but well prepared and generous portions as well as friendly serving staff. If you want to dine elsewhere, you will need a vehicle. The other disappointment for us was that the whirlpool was closed the entire time we were there for no apparent reason.
We would definitely stay there again.
