“Good stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2011

We had been at a Reds game, but decided to get out of the main part of Cincinnati. We decided to stop near Sharonville. We drove around the Travelodge, but we decided not to stay. Then, we drove around the Red Roof Inn. It looked okay, but we decided to stay at the La Quinta Inn. There were some fancier and newer hotels around the area, but we thought that the La Quinta would cost less and be about as nice as the others. We were right on this thought.
The man at the font desk was very friendly. The room rate was more than the Travelodge or Red Roof Inn would have been of course, but was very reasonable. The hallways had a bit of a musty smell, but that didn't bother me. The non-smoking room did not have a smoke smell like some other hotels. The room wasn't perfectly clean, but was really quite clean. There was a burn on the carpet where an iron must have been dropped or something near the desk in the room, but that was okay. The furniture in the room was a bit older, but that was okay too. The bathroom and shower was very clean and that is important to my family. Also, the sheets were clean and fresh.
The breakfast in the morning was very nice. They had biscuits and gravy which we like very much. Also, you could make your own waffles. Overall, we had a very nice stay at a good price for the hotel. I think we paid under one hundred dollars.

Yeah, I've been to Great Wolf and Kalahari. Different league, I know, but the price of a night at the La Quinta is a rounding error at Great Wolf. Sometimes you're just driving up or down I-75 and need a break with a decent pool. If that's you...this is your hotel.

As you know, hotel pools are hit and miss. Sometimes they're nice, other times, they are tiny, cold or generally unpleasant. But kids love pools and I try to find good ones.

The Sharonville La Quinta's pool is big...it's warm, the ambient temperature is warm too, and there's a 20+ person hot tub to go along with it. There's dozens of chairs and loungers plus about 15 tables. They provide towels in the pool area. There's also a small patio off the pool area, a small playset and a workout room.

The mural was painted in 1997, so this is not a brand new hotel, and the rest of the hotel is pretty typical...even forgettable. (Except the breakfast area is equally huge, plenty of tables.) So if a great pool is on your list, I think this one stands out in the area.

I stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites Cincinnati / Sharonville this past weekend when I took my son to watch some tennis. Check in took only a few seconds, as there was no line. We went to get on one of three elevators to go to our room. There was a maintenance man on his knees scrubbing the tracks of one of the elevator doors with a toothbrush. Every aspect that I saw of this hotel was maintained to that level. Our room was spotless. The pool and exercise areas were both very clean. The marble floor in the entry foyer was like a mirror. I have stayed in pet hotels before and usually could smell the dogs. Not here! The bedding was great. We did not hear a sound all night – slept like a log. The breakfast had cereal, bread / toast, pastries, fruit, coffee, milk, juice, waffles and biscuits with sausage gravy. The dining area was immaculate. The pool was heated to a nice temperature. The hot tub temperature was perfect. It was only a 15 min. drive to the Lindner Family Tennis Center. The tennis was great, too! General Manager Bill Goetz deserves a lot of credit for the way the hotel is run. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I stayed here with my teenage daughter for a weekend softball tournament. There are a few restaurants nearby, but the hotel is near the 75/275 interchange so we were able to take a short drive to the Tri-County Mall.

The hotel appears to be a recent construction. Everything worked well and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast area was large, although the food selection was not as extensive as the buffet area could accommodate. Sausage and gravy was served on both mornings we were there, and the rest was the usual continental breakfast with waffle makers you see at any average breakfast buffet. A Bob Evans and Big Boy are nearby if you demand a more substantial breakfast.

The pool area is outstanding! The indoor patio area is very large and features a nice jacuzzi and a children's play area. The pool opens to a nice outdoor patio. One of the best pool areas I've encountered while traveling, especially considering the cost of this hotel.

The only strange thing was that the ironing board sits in the open in the room, leaning against the wall. There is no true closet; there is a space to hang clothes as part of the TV/dresser cabinet. So there is no place to put the ironing board but leaning against the wall. Our room was a king suite that included a fold out sleeper (twin size), plus a small frig and microwave. The bathroom was adequate.

I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.

I chose this hotel because they had nice jacuzzi rooms (an absolute must when I travel) and because I thought it was close to the city (I was going to a Reds game). It's actually not that close to the city (about 15-20 minutes), which is not good because there is not a whole lot around the hotel. The staff was pleasant, the suite was big and the jacuzzi tub was a nice large size in the bedroom. My only gripes are that there was a filthy hand towel left next to the jacuzzi (hopefully just overlooked from the maid staff) and they give you nothing but a small shampoo bottle and bar soap in the bathroom (come on LaQuinta, not even a conditioner or a lotion?)
But overall it was nice and I highly recommend it if you like having a jacuzzi in your room, just be prepared to drive a little to get restaurants other than the Bob Evans (no thanks!) and the standard but tasty Ruby Tuesday's acroess the street.

I stayed at the La Quinta for a week on business. My room was clean, had a comfortable bed, pull-out couch and a work station. The breakfast was very good- they had a variety of hot and cold items like cereal, toast, bagels, waffles, sausage and biscuits but I really appreciated the variety of fresh fruit. When I arrived on Sunday evening the pool was busy but it was very quiet for the rest of the week- I spent each evening after work swimming, reading a book in the hot tub or in the gym. The pool and hot tub are very large and there is also a children's play area. Location right off the highway and in an area with a variety of chain restaurants made it a convenient place to stay.

Very clean and efficient. Even though it is a high rise, you'd never know it. From the hotel staff to the breakfast buffet, all was excellent. Plenty of amenties for a high rise hotel. Easy access to highway. Comfortable beds and pillows that La Quinta is known for. Great barbeque joint and Skyline chli restaurant a hop, skip, and jump away. Will definitely staff again.
