“So Close & So Much To Do!”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

If you're headed to Cedar Point this place is right at the entrance. We normally stay at one of Cedar Points hotels right in the park. We decided to try to save a few bucks this year and stay outside the park and we are so glad we did. No only did we save money but we this hotel offered so much more for the family to do. Like a said it is right outside the park and we saved almost $100 on the room rate. We all bowled in the hotels bowling alley and the kids loved the lazer tag and the little water park was perfect for the younger kids. Like I said this was our first time not staying inside the park and we are so glad we did. Nevr heard the kids once say "I'm Bored"

Been coing here for years and would never even consider staying anywhere else. Our kids have grown up going to this place every summer and now we take our grand kids. The Rain water play area is perfect for our 2 year old grand baby and we just love the Thirsty Pony restaurant which is attached to the hotel. Our trip to Cedar Point is not complete until we have had a Bam Burger at the Pony. Overall another great stay. The room we stayed in had just been remodeled and everything was brand new. Already palnning our trip for later this summer for hallo weekends at Cedar Point.

We stayed in a king suite and were very pleased with the amount of space & overall accommodations in the room. In room frig, microwave, coffee maker, 2 tv's and ample seating. Only thing missing was a mirror in the living space. Only mirror in bathroom above snk. Rainwater park is small and offers a nice distraction for children & adults. We did not bowl, but stopped in and were impressed with the size & looks of the bowling alley. Outdoor pool is 3 ft at shallow end and has lots of lounge chairs & other seating. The Thirsty Pony had good food. Only 5 minutes from Cedar Point. Staff was friendly and efficient. Continental breakfast was tasty, relatively hot, and quickly replenished.

Just returned from our first trip to Cedar Point. We spent 2 nights and were very well satisfied with the accomodations and the price. Favorite of our family was the Thirsty Pony, (restaurant/bar attached to the hotel) the food is reasonably priced ( 16 inch pizza with unlimited toppings was $18.50) Hotel is being remodeled, with that being said, carpet in hallway is very dated, but inside inside our room we found new carpet and furnishings. Our room was very comfortable for 2 adults and 1 teen. Comfortable beds, flat screen tv, desk with chair and an accent chair. There is no elevator in the hotel, but only being 2 levels its not a giant amount of steps but does make carrying luggage a challenge when others are trying to go opposite way on stairs. Free breakfast was upstairs and crowded both mornings we went, which is to be expected. They offered cereal, 4 types of make your own waffles as well as hot choices such as sausage and egg or biscuits and gravy. First hotel I ever stayed in that the breakfast included a fountain soft drink machine. ( was pleased to see 90% of kids I saw there still drank juice!) I felt bad for the employees who were desperately trying to keep up with demand but had such small area to work and some guests just being flat out rude which was totally uncalled for. I would suggest that Quality inn maybe move the breakfast into a larger conference room to accomadate more guests and allow their staff more room to keep things filled. Outdoor pool despite being 90 degrees outside was quite chilly but refreshing (has a built in bench to just sit and relax) Indoor water park is geared mostly towards small children, but there is a nice size hot tub that is adult only between 11pm and 12 am, and two big watersldes. Over all I would definitely return ( already planning to ) and recommend it to others!

Room Tip: Hotel offers different size rooms, ours was a double, (no microwave or fridge ) we did see inside of...

Stay on the 6/23/13. 1st shift front desk very helpful. Got me pre-reg as I arrived 4 hrs. early. Only paid 89$ for the stay, but what you get is a still. You get a mini waterpark if u got kids in tow. Hot tub for adults only after 11p.m. State of the art bowling alley, (good drinks served there). Outdoor pool, flat screen in the room, thirsty pony resturant attached to it, where can you get all this for less than 90$! The wings is a steal at the pony, but they was on the greasy side(didn't like that). But the burgers and what not was on point. And you save $100 but not staying in a cedar Point hotel, with the only benefit is you get to go in 1hr early. (whoa!). DO NOT TAKE A CAB! It's $25 for a 2ppl, $20/per 2ppl if 4 or more is in the cab, its only $15 to park. It's illegal to walk to cedar point, $250 fine. And its only a 2 or 3min drive

Room Tip: I stayed in room 226.

My husband and I stayed here for the first time on June 20. After a long day at Cedar Point, we loved the short drive to the hotel. The room was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The Thirsty Pony next door was a great place for dinner. We enjoyed the atmosphere, and the food was excellent. My only complaint would be the continental breakfast. The food itself was good, and there was a nice selection to choose from. However, the breakfast area was far too small. There was barely any room to sit, and it was difficult to even reach the food or beverages because so many people were crammed into the room. Additionally, the hotel staff managing the breakfast was rude and pushy.

Unfortunately, we did not have a chance to use the pool or indoor water area. Overall, our stay was excellent and we would definitely return. Thanks for a great stay!
