We had stayed at Sandcastle Suites for two nights and because we were leaving right away in the morning on Saturday, we decided to find a cheaper room for our last night in town. (The Cedar Point hotels are very expensive on the weekend.) Some of the positives were a very friendly desk clerk, reasonable room rates ($98 for two queens and a cot on a Friday night), good size rooms, and a nice outdoor pool area. The major negative for us was a very musty smell in our room that was noticeable as soon as you entered. Once you were in the room it was not so noticeable but every time you left and reentered you could smell it. We think it was coming from the bathroom, but could not zero in on it.
This was a very busy place on a Friday night and did serve our purpose, but we could hear a lot of noise froms the rooms around us during the night. The location is very close to the Cedar Point Causeway.More
