Staying at the cabins is convenient and fun. There is lots of room for all our stuff.Lots of shelves in the kitchen. The bathroom is very small but okay. The only problem is after walking back and forth from the cabin to the park for 3 days, grandma gets a little tired. The shuttle service is nice but there are not near enough and we waste too much time waiting.Last year we waited 18 minutes and there wasn't enough room,so we had to wait another 10 minutes for the next shuttle. It wasn't that far to walk but my granddaughter fell asleep and was to heavy to carry that far.

Room Tip: All the cabins are the same. When we stayed at the Hotel Breakers we always got the suites with the l...

Our family of seven (7) have stayed at Lighthouse Point every summer for the past six (6) years. The cabin(s) are roomy and the kids love the loft. If you have a service request, they respond very quickly and the camp store is very well stocked with most items you would need. This year we were there from July 5-7 and as usual, everything was wonderful. While at the park our stroller had a flat tire. At the check-in gate, I asked if there was a place with an air pump that I could take it. The gentleman at the gate told me not to worry, that he would have it fixed in a jiffy. He made a phone call and within minutes, a maintenance person took the stroller, put air in all of the tires & was back in less than ten minutes. We love Cedar Point & would highly recommend it for all ages.

Truly enjoyed the stay at Lighthouse Point cottage in Sandusky, Ohio. The cabin was exceptionally clean and well cared for. The grill provided at the cottage was a nice amenity as it saved on food expenses. The staff was very knowledgeable of the Cedar Point Amusement Park and very friendly when asked directions. The only thing lacking in the cottage was a comfortable chair. There was a futon and kitchen chairs only in the main living area. For a family of 6 this just wasn't enough, but you cannot have everything. The view on the water made for a quiet relaxing evening as we watched the ferry make its tours. The outdoor pool area was clean and well maintained. Our overall experience left us with very nice memories and a desire to do it again.

Room Tip: I can only speak for the cottages and would highly recommend them.

Let me start by saying that I LOVE this place. I don't usually give bad reviews, but I'm hoping to catch some attention from CP. I usually make three or four trips here a year and more than twice now I have had a campsite that has been flooded very bad. I asked one worker if she thought there had ever been any consideration for a drainage upgrade and she said no. I know that cp has no control over the weather, but when it rains and there is no where for the water to go, there will be a problem.

Now let me be clear, the newer section is fine. You won't find a flood there, but the older section (the circle) is rediculuous.

I also want to say, though, that they still do a good job cleaning up and with customer service!

This situation is certainly top of mind for us. We haven't received rain that has affected Camper Village like this in over twenty years. We mobilized multiple pumps to remove the water as quickly as possible. Despite what the employee told you, there is consideration on drainage upgrades. That particular area lies very low and would need to be regraded along with an extensive network of storm drains. While it will not be an immediate fix, we are actively reviewing solutions. Thank you for letting us know.

We always stay on Cedar Point property when we visit the park. We have camped a few times at Camper Village and also stayed in the cabins a couple of times. We love staying in the cabins, but they are very expensive. We were bringing 3 teenage girls with us on this trip, and we let them choose: stay in a cabin and not get Fast Lane passes, or camp and get the Fast Lane passes...they didn't hesitate in choosing the Fast Lane passes.

Our campsite was very clean and we were just a short walk from the restrooms/showers. We never had to wait long for showers (we try to go before the big morning rush). The restrooms/showers were about what you expect in a campground.

Anyone staying on Cedar Point property gets early entry (1 hour) to the park, which is helpful, although we didn't really need it as we had purchased the Fast Lane passes. If you are in the park and need a ride back to the campground, there are shuttles (although it is very walkable unless you are really tired).

If you are looking for a quiet campground where you can come back and take an afternoon nap, this isn't the place for you! You will be surrounded by the sounds of roller coasters and the music coming from the water park. The noise level starts early in the morning and continues until late at night. But this is one of the things we love about staying here - hearing all of the happy sounds around you!

We were put in the 'original circle' of the campground, which is the older part. There is nothing wrong with it, but the newer part is much, much nicer. I took an evening stroll one night and walked to the newer section and they have much bigger camp sites and beautiful, new bathrooms with piped in music!!

My only suggestion would be that they need to open the campground store earlier. It doesn't open until 8 a.m., and every morning there would be quite a few people waiting for the store to open so they could get their morning coffee. The young woman working there would come in right at 8 and have to wait on customers while trying to get the coffee started. Most of the visitors at the park are trying to get in line for early entry well before the gates open at 9, so this rushes people a bit. Wish they would consider opening the store at 7:30 rather than 8:00.

We will stay here every time we visit Cedar Point. Love this campground!

Room Tip: Request to stay in the newer part of the campground, not the 'original circle'.

This is an enchanting place. I have been coming here since I was a kid, I worked here on my summer vacation from college and since they developed the Lighthouse Point Cabins and Cottages we come here every year as a family and stay. Our extended family also comes, sometimes they get cabins also or if you live an hour away or have older people with you the cabins are nice for a meeting spot, a spot to rest and grab air conditioning or if the older people can't enjoy the park but want to be with the family there is a beautiful boardwalk and beach. With your rental you get access to 5 different pools and hot tubs. There are kitchens in the cabins and a place to grill. The cabins have a loft (it's for kids) bring the kids sleeping bags it can sleep at least 10 kids up there. ( never tried it) and it also has a double bed and 2 couches that fold out. The cottages sleep less( no loft). I can't wait till next year! Book early they sell out! It's such a bummer:( if we can't stay here we don't come:(

This was a very lovely place to stay if you are planning to go to Cedar Point, especially if you have older children. There is a shuttle that they can take to and from the park. Everything is there including Soak City, the water park. You can also get in early before the general public is admitted.
The price is a little high for the cottages, cabins and the hotels. It was about $1000 for three nights. I do not know what they are charging for the camp ground spaces as it has been years since camping there. However, the camping spaces looked very nice and the campground has been improved over the years.

We did save $ by being able to cook in the cottage. There is only a small frig and microwave. .However there is a grill outside. I also took a toaster, and electric fry pan for pancakes, eggs. etc
There is nothing else provided except the bedding and towels. There is a towel exchange every day.

I will consider returning if only the price per night was lower. This is something I can not afford to do every year. The cost is the same as a five start resort.......which this is not.

Room Tip: I would definitely choose a cottage. They are along the lake....nice breeze. You also have a small...

Thank you for your review. The cottages and cabins are very popular this time of year. However, we do offer lower prices in May and early June if you were able to visit with us at a different time of year.
